[00:00:00] We'll Truth Daily This Is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman We Should Be Her. And yet, on the other hand, those who are humble believers in Christ are not exalted here on planet Earth.
[00:00:37] So matter of fact, they may not have a lot of money, they may not have status and recognition, they may not be very successful in life. Hmm, does Jesus say anything about that? Well, this is what it says in verse 30 of Matthew 19.
[00:00:52] But many who are first will be last and the last first. There's different interpretations about this. Some people say those who are exalted positions in the church will be in humble positions in heaven. I don't think that's what it means.
[00:01:06] Others would say those who came first to Christ but later fell away will be obviously not in the kingdom and those who rejected Christ most are life but then came to Christ later in life they're first.
[00:01:18] They're going to be in the kingdom and those who rejected Christ later in life will be out of the kingdom. I don't think that's what it means. This is what I think it means.
[00:01:25] Those who are exalted here on planet Earth who are in status and recognition kind of positions here on planet Earth. If they don't know Christ, they're going to be out of the kingdom and who's going
[00:01:35] to be in the kingdom those who trust in Jesus, those who by the power of the Holy Spirit have repetitive their sin and put their trust their faith in Christ. Those are those who are going to be exalted on judgment day.
[00:01:49] We're going to be elevated into the very glorious presence of Almighty God. Now here's the life application for you. A lot of times we may even as believers emulate those who are powerful, rich, successful, with status, recognition, who people notice right away.
[00:02:08] A lot of times we as Christians might even look at them and say, boy, I wish I had what they had but do you know what? If you don't know Jesus, what does it profit a person?
[00:02:18] If they gain the whole world, if they have all the material possessions, all the recognition and status that the world can give, and yet they're spiritually bankrupt, they don't know Christ. Here's what this is saying. We're going to be exalted on judgment day. Why?
[00:02:34] Because Holy Spirit is working our hearts, broken down our stubborn resisting will, caused us to have the eyes of faith so that we acknowledge Jesus for who he is. We will be exalted so in his sense we might be last here on planet Earth.
[00:02:48] But when Christ comes back, we'll be first. Right? We'll be elevated to this glorious status of being called children of God and receive the glorious inheritance of the saints. How cool is that?
[00:03:01] So don't emulate those people that are on TV and those who have a lot of money and those who are popular and famous even days sometimes say, I wish I didn't have all this. I didn't wish I didn't have all the people recognizing me.
[00:03:15] I can't go to a restaurant. I can't go out in public without people wanting my autograph and all that kind of stuff. So many times here on planet Earth, we emulate those people. But here is the most emulatable people. It's folks who know Jesus, right?
[00:03:31] And you know Jesus. So when you go to bed tonight, thank God that through the power of the Holy Spirit, you have come to faith in Jesus and we're going to receive this incredible inheritance
[00:03:42] with the saints when Christ calls us home or if he comes back in our lifetime when Christ elevates us into his presence and takes us home, both body and soul forever. That is something to truly be thankful for. So that is today's Daily Truth.
