[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:01:01] We'll be talking about what we say and do.

[00:01:03] So we have to say, well, sometimes our sin nature is demonstrated in the way we interact with one another.

[00:01:09] But there's a third reason why sometimes we see bad behavior in church.

[00:01:14] And Jesus identifies it here in verses 9 and 10.

[00:01:18] Now remember where in the parable of the wedding feast, and remember Jesus tells us parable about a king who has a wedding for his son.

[00:01:26] Once guests to be invited and invites people and they don't come.

[00:01:30] And then he says, hey, everything is ready and they still don't come.

[00:01:33] And then they kill the servants and then Jesus gets angry.

[00:01:36] Or the master gets angry in that.

[00:01:38] And then he says, that he said with servants, the wedding feast is ready.

[00:01:41] But those invited were not worthy.

[00:01:43] Go therefore to the main roads and invite to the wedding feast as many as you find.

[00:01:47] Now listen to verse 10.

[00:01:49] And those servants went out into the roads and gathered all whom they found both bad and good.

[00:01:55] And good.

[00:01:56] So the wedding hall was filled with guests.

[00:01:59] Okay, what's this mean both bad and good?

[00:02:01] First of all, the wedding hall is the church of Jesus Christ.

[00:02:05] It spans every denomination.

[00:02:08] Anybody who believes in Jesus is part of the church.

[00:02:11] And then people go to a local congregation to fellowship together under worship.

[00:02:16] So when it's talking about the wedding hall, we're talking about the church of Jesus Christ.

[00:02:22] And then it says, both bad and good.

[00:02:25] Who are the good ones who are part of a congregation?

[00:02:28] The good ones are those who are true believers in the Lord Jesus.

[00:02:32] Well, who are the bad ones?

[00:02:34] They are hypocrites, right?

[00:02:36] And every church has them as a matter of fact.

[00:02:39] I hear people sometimes say, why don't go to church?

[00:02:42] I don't believe in organized religion.

[00:02:44] I don't go to church because there's so many hypocrites there.

[00:02:47] And I heard one pastor say, well, we could always use one more.

[00:02:53] Now, can you tell the difference between those who are fake believers, false believers, hypocrites versus those who are Satan is having his way or one sin nature is being shown?

[00:03:05] No, you really can't tell.

[00:03:07] But here's the thing, on judgment day, the sheep will be separated from the goats.

[00:03:12] Those who are believers will be separated from those who are unbelievers.

[00:03:17] And so those who are hypocrites in the congregation and every Christian congregation as them,

[00:03:22] there are true strides if you will, will be revealed on judgment day.

[00:03:27] Now, here's the bottom line application for you and me.

[00:03:30] We have to ask ourselves, do I really believe in the stuff that Pastor Dave talks about?

[00:03:36] Do I really believe in what I hear on a Sunday morning?

[00:03:39] Do I really believe in Christ?

[00:03:41] And hopefully the answer is, yes, by the Holy Spirit's power, I believe in Jesus Christ as my personal Lord and Savior.

[00:03:48] My King, my Redeemer, the one who was is and is to come and is coming back to take me home.

[00:03:54] I believe in Jesus that He lived and died and rose again for me.

[00:03:58] And then the second question we ask is, can people tell that I believe in Jesus?

[00:04:04] No matter where I'm at, in my family we had a devotion about that here a couple weeks ago.

[00:04:10] And my family in the workplace, it's school and my community and my neighborhood can people tell by my actions, by my speech, by my conduct that I believe in Jesus.

[00:04:21] And here's the answer to that question, not always.

[00:04:26] Why?

[00:04:27] Because we go back to the first point, sometimes our sin nature shows through, sometimes Satan has his way with us.

[00:04:34] But here's the thing, when our life does not demonstrate by what we say and do that we're believers in Jesus, what do we do?

[00:04:42] Do we gravel in our guilt and shame? No, we go to the cross.

[00:04:46] We give it to the Lord Jesus.

[00:04:48] We know He paid for it when He died in our place.

[00:04:51] And then because we have forgiven His sins and the power of the Holy Spirit, we can start a fresh.

[00:04:57] We can start a new with all these words power empowering us to live a life that demonstrates and articulates to people around us that we believe in Jesus.

[00:05:07] So there you go, wow, I'm going five minutes. Okay, good.

[00:05:11] So there you go, that's the application.

[00:05:14] I hope this was helpful today.

[00:05:16] Yeah, sometimes people don't behave well in church and I gave you three reasons why.

[00:05:22] I take that home, think about that. And again, the church is filled with hypocrites.

[00:05:28] There's people in every congregation who aren't real believers, but hopefully 90% of the folks that you worship with on a Sunday morning are true believers in Jesus, right?

[00:05:39] Including you and me.

[00:05:42] Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ.

[00:05:44] And that is today's daily truth.
