[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:00:07] Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. There have been times when I was invited

[00:00:12] to something and I didn't really pay attention to what I was supposed to dress and I was

[00:00:16] grossly underdressed. Everybody else had sits and ties on and I came very casually.

[00:00:22] Oops, I guess I didn't get the memo. You probably had that too where you went to some

[00:00:29] event. Everybody was dressed really nice and you were underdressed. You felt totally embarrassed,

[00:00:35] you are speechless because of the way you look. And you wanted to get out of there as quickly

[00:00:39] as possible. Now that's never happened to you. Well, good for you. But it's happening

[00:00:44] to me and it's embarrassing. In Meddigeptory 22, remember a king is putting on a celebration,

[00:00:50] a wedding feast for his son and we've talked about all those different details, but

[00:00:54] we come to verse 11. But when the king came in to look at the gas, he saw there was a man who

[00:00:58] had no wedding garment. Okay. Now when there was a celebration for a wedding, people were

[00:01:04] to dress appropriately that meant that they had the proper attire to wear when they came

[00:01:09] to the festivity to the festival. And if they didn't have the proper attire, the king

[00:01:14] or the host would provide the proper attire for the people so that they wouldn't feel

[00:01:19] out of place and they would have the proper attire on for the festival or for the activity.

[00:01:23] Verse 12, and he said to them, friend, how did you get in here without a wedding garment?

[00:01:29] And he was speechless. What is this a picture of? Okay. This is a picture of the final time

[00:01:38] when Jesus comes to planet Earth the second time. He comes the first time obviously. Was this

[00:01:43] first coming as incarnation as life is death of his resurrection? And then of course he

[00:01:47] has set it up in heaven and the angel said, he's going to come back in like matter. That

[00:01:51] which goes up must come down. So when Christ comes back in a figurative sense, there's going to be

[00:01:56] this marvelous festival and if this marvelous festival is great celebration, people are going to

[00:02:03] need to be dressed in the proper garments, figurably speaking, and what will be the proper garment?

[00:02:10] It will be the righteousness of Jesus Christ. Now listen to this. Okay. Christ is the one who earned

[00:02:18] that righteous garment through his life, living a holy life for us, through his sacrificial

[00:02:24] death on the cross and payment far sin, and through his incredible resurrection, conquering death.

[00:02:30] And so the Holy Spirit takes that righteousness, the Jesus earned for us, who is life death

[00:02:36] and resurrection, and gives it to us by faith, even the faith that we need to appropriate the

[00:02:42] merits of Christ was given to us by the Holy Spirit. So we could say, Jesus manufactured the

[00:02:48] garment and the Holy Spirit puts it on us. And now we stand before God, we appear before God.

[00:02:56] And I've said this many times in D.T. righteous, pure, holy, innocent, and sinless. That's our

[00:03:03] garment, the righteousness, the purity, the holiness of Jesus. Galatians tells us those who have been

[00:03:10] baptized in Christ, have faith in Christ, have put on Christ. We're rolled in His righteousness,

[00:03:16] splendor, purity, and holiness. And so what happens when Christ comes back and the feast is

[00:03:22] celebrated and the celebration of being with the Lamb of God in the holy mansions above, we will

[00:03:29] have the proper garment on because we have faith in Jesus Christ. So listen to that marvelous

[00:03:37] so that's why the image is said, Jesus, I blood and righteousness, thy beauty, are my glorious

[00:03:43] dress. This is talking about the end times. It means flaming worlds in these arrayed with joy,

[00:03:48] shall I lift up my head, bold shall I stand on that great day, sins at toe and no death to pay.

[00:03:54] This then shall be my only plea, Christ Jesus lived and died for me. Christ Jesus lived and died

[00:04:02] for you. And through faith in what He's done, that's your holy garment, my friends. And so we can say,

[00:04:11] when Christ comes back, I'm all dressed up with some place to go. I've been really nicely dressed

[00:04:20] and the person said, all dressed up, somebody else said, all dressed up with no place to go. No,

[00:04:25] we're all dressed up even now, if Christ came back right now, we'd be ready, rolled in the righteousness,

[00:04:31] holiness and purity of Jesus. We'd be ready, we'd be all dressed up with some place to go. And

[00:04:37] where is that someplace in the new heaven and the newer with our Lord Jesus forever living in his presence?

[00:04:45] So now tomorrow I'm going to talk about the negative part of this. Well, what about the guy who

[00:04:50] didn't show up with the proper garment? What happens to him? Well, as we found out, he was speechless,

[00:04:57] right? And we're going to apply that to one believer on judgment day. Is that going to be a hard

[00:05:02] lesson for us here? Well, yeah. But for us who believe in Christ, no, for those who don't believe

[00:05:08] in Christ, it's a boy. It's a reminder of how important it is for us to get the gospel out to

[00:05:17] people that don't know Jesus, right? Because if they don't know Jesus, if they don't have the proper

[00:05:22] wedding garment on, they're eternally separated from God and we don't want that for anybody,

[00:05:29] right? So tomorrow we'll talk about what that all means and how it plays out and what we can

[00:05:34] do about it. Okay? For today, bask in the fact that you're robed in the righteousness,

[00:05:40] purity, and holiness of Jesus, that's your wedding garments. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ,

[00:05:46] and that is today's daily truth. Thank you for tuning in to daily truths with Dave Olman.
