[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Real Truths Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman
[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody welcome back to Daily Truths. We're in the parable of the 10 virgins and remember
[00:00:12] [SPEAKER_00]: there's 5 foolish virgins that don't bring extra oil. Finally at midnight the bride
[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: groom appears, they don't have any extra oil to light their lamps, they go and buy it
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_00]: meanwhile the brideroom comes, greets the 5 virgins that have extra oil, gets the bride,
[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: takes them back to his house and there's a feast. That's what Matthew 25 verse 10 says
[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_00]: and while they were going to buy, namely the foolish virgins, the brideroom came
[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_00]: and those who were ready went in with him to the marriage feast and the door was shut.
[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: What's this talking about? The 5 smart virgins if you will had oil for their lamp.
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_00]: We're ready for the bride groom to appear. The bride is there. He takes the bride
[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_00]: and the 5 smart virgins back to the wedding feast and they celebrate. We already said that.
[00:01:00] [SPEAKER_00]: What's this a picture of? The Christ is going to come back and he's going to take his church
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_00]: the bride home to be with him forever. Now I want to tell you, I've done a lot of weddings
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_00]: down through the years and in many ways I've had the best seat in the house. The double doors
[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: when the ceremony begins, the double doors in the back of the church open. The bride is radiant
[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: and beaming anticipating this glorious day. The groom looks as pleased as punch. He's just
[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_00]: beaming as well. The bride walks down the aisle. He grates her. He takes her hand. They come up
[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: to the altar. The wedding begins and then afterwards after the wedding ceremony is a celebration
[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_00]: and there's a feast and when you go to the feast, everybody is happy. Nobody is sad.
[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_00]: Everybody is celebrating. Nobody's in a bad mood and the food is exquisite and the celebration
[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_00]: goes on for many, many hours. This is a picture of what it's going to be like when Christ comes back.
[00:02:00] [SPEAKER_00]: He is the bride groom and he's coming to take we the bride the church to the heavily kingdom
[00:02:06] [SPEAKER_00]: both in heaven and earth. Again there's going to be a according to second Peter and new heaven
[00:02:11] [SPEAKER_00]: and a new earth and established, reestablished, eaten and what will that be like? It's going to
[00:02:17] [SPEAKER_00]: be like a feast. Nobody in a bad mood. Everybody is happy and everybody is celebrating but I won't
[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_00]: just go on for a night or in his Israel's Day and Jesus Day went on for a week. It's going to go on
[00:02:30] [SPEAKER_00]: forever and what will that be like? Isaiah chapter 25 tells us, inverses 8 and 9 what that's
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: going to be like. He will swallow up death forever. We've talked about that, no death and the Lord
[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_00]: God will wipe away tears from all faces. What causes tears? sorrow and pain. So no tears? No sorrow,
[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: no pain that brings about tears and the reproach of his people he will take away from all the earth.
[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_00]: What's that mean? Reproach guilt, shame, being convicted of sin. The reproach will be gone.
[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: The guilt and shame over our transgressions will be gone and the reproach with people he will take
[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_00]: away from all the earth for the Lord has spoken. It will be said on my day, behold this is our God.
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_00]: We have waited for him that he might save us. Isn't that what we feel right now?
[00:03:28] [SPEAKER_00]: We're looking for it to God for Christ to come and take us home. He will come. He will save us.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_00]: He will make everything right. Behold, this is our God. We have waited for him that he might save us.
[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_00]: This is the Lord. We have waited for him. Let us be glad and rejoice in his salvation.
[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_00]: The bread groom Jesus Christ will come to take the bride, the church, home to be with him forever
[00:03:54] [SPEAKER_00]: in a new heaven, in a new earth where there is no death, no shame, no guilt, no sorrow,
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_00]: no pain and we will celebrate that feast forever. Not just for a night, not just for a week,
[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: but forever. And so we get ready for that day. We repent of our sin. We put our trust in Jesus.
[00:04:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We look for opportunities to make Christ known. We live for him from day to day and I can't wait
[00:04:25] [SPEAKER_00]: and I hope you can't wait either. So continue rejoice and celebrate and anticipate this glorious
[00:04:32] [SPEAKER_00]: reunion of Christ with this church when we get to finally see Jesus face the face and not walk any
[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_00]: of our life forever. And that is today's daily truth. Have a great day and the Lord Jesus Christ.
