The Power of Niagara Falls | DT on the Run

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Good morning, Pastor Dave. Hey, Ken. And here we are. Whoops, excuse me. I didn't mean to do that.

[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_02]: A little afternoon belching, is that? Well, yeah, I don't know what I ate last night.

[00:00:18] [SPEAKER_02]: Crank too much water, that's the deal. As you can see, we're at Pastor Dave's backyard water effect

[00:00:24] [SPEAKER_02]: here. This is the nicest water feature on the planet. It really is. And it's in my backyard.

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, we're just talking about the power of God and what He has done here. And, you know,

[00:00:37] [SPEAKER_02]: He's so powerful, don't you know? Oh, yeah. We're actually in Canada. Oh, yeah. We're on the Canadian

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_01]: side, you know. Yes. So we're going to do the Canadian accent thing. Yeah. Yeah, okay.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_02]: That's not it. God is. Yeah, you could say that. Yeah, that's Canadian. And we rode on a boat.

[00:00:54] [SPEAKER_02]: The boat that didn't float, just kind of pushed along. And we fell out and we drowned and we died.

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_02]: But now we're alive again. We feel okay. That trip down with the barrel was kind of a trip too.

[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_02]: Those rapids are pretty rough, you know. We survived it, you know. We did. We did, yeah. Oh, you betcha.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_02]: But if you just want to get a little sense of God's power, you stand there and the tens of thousands

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_02]: of gallons going over every minute. And you just can't. But just think that's just a small piece

[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_02]: of God's power. The Almighty is just awesome. I love it. I think you mentioned that before.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_01]: I did. And you know, yesterday we heard that, you know, this isn't even one of the seven wonders

[00:01:38] [SPEAKER_01]: of the world because all the seven wonders, you told me this, all the seven wonders of the world

[00:01:42] [SPEAKER_01]: are man-made. Well, this is God-made. And it's amazing to me it's not a wonder of the world because

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: it really should be. Now, folks, I took a video, and you're going to see it here in just a sec,

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: at the base of the Horseshoe Falls, the Canadian side. And go ahead and take a look at this.

[00:01:59] [SPEAKER_02]: This is so much nicer than sitting in a Nissan in a hot parking lot. I got to tell you,

[00:02:05] [SPEAKER_02]: this is beautiful. It's awesome. It is awesome. A Nissan in a parking lot? When did you do that?

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_02]: I think that was one of our DTs there, Pastor. I forgot about that. You're supposed to forget that.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And the air conditioning was going... Yeah, that's right. One of the things we didn't tell you,

[00:02:25] [SPEAKER_01]: folks, is at the base of the falls, the wind is blowing. And it's not the wind. I think it's

[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: the power generated by the water hitting, right? The wind is blowing from that like 50 miles an hour.

[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_01]: And people were screaming with laughter because the power was so overwhelming.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_02]: I was screaming with terror, but everybody else was screaming with laughter.

[00:02:44] [SPEAKER_02]: But it is... You're kind of a girly man, you know.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, don't you know?

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_01]: And so, well, we're talking about the power. Okay. So this power manifested by what we see here in the falls

[00:03:00] [SPEAKER_01]: is nothing compared to the power of the resurrection, right? It's amazing to me that the same Jesus

[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: who made this falls and the Grand Canyon and Grand Tetons and all that is the same Jesus who defeated death.

[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And the greatest power known to mankind is not Niagara Falls or any of this stuff that is God made.

[00:03:18] [SPEAKER_01]: The greatest power of all is the resurrection of Jesus.

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_01]: And the power that we're going to see manifested when he comes back and takes us home.

[00:03:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And the power and majesty and authority and glory and all that that's going to be accompanying him,

[00:03:32] [SPEAKER_01]: this pales in comparison to that power.

[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah. And that's even... That's so hard to fathom.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_02]: You know, I just can't... I just can't even conceive what that's about.

[00:03:41] [SPEAKER_01]: So... I know. And you think about it, Kent.

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: So if you don't know Jesus, right, you go to that and you say,

[00:03:47] [SPEAKER_01]: hmm, that's really something. What's happened by the freak of evolution

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_01]: and the evolutionary process and millions of years and all that kind of stuff.

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: Well, no, we know God did this.

[00:03:57] [SPEAKER_01]: That's right. That's right.

[00:03:58] [SPEAKER_01]: And through the empty tomb, we know that God destroyed death. Isn't that right?

[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_02]: That is exactly right. That is exactly right.

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_02]: And if you ever want to sense just a little piece of that power,

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_02]: come to Niagara Falls here on the... especially on the Canadian side, eh?

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_02]: Oh, that's right. You betcha.

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_02]: You betcha now. And God bless you.
