[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_01]: Real Truth Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_00]: Yesterday, remember we talked about the separation of the sheep and goats.

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_00]: And today we're going to be talking about how privileged we are to be members of God's kingdom.

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_00]: And what it means to be seated on the right hand of God because the text says this.

[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_00]: This is in Matthew chapter 25 verse 39.

[00:00:26] [SPEAKER_00]: It says, and he will place the sheep on his right and the goats on his left.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_00]: So when it says that we're on the right side of God, what it means is to be honored and privileged by God,

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_00]: to be favored by God, to be blessed by God, to be a child of God, to be a member of the kingdom,

[00:00:42] [SPEAKER_00]: to be on the right hand of God means his favor and privilege and honor is upon us.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_00]: So there's three reasons I want to identify today why we're privileged and honored to be on the right hand of God.

[00:00:55] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's where we're going to be when Christ comes back and he separates non-believers from believers.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_00]: We're going to be positionally on the right hand of God.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_00]: And we're there right now.

[00:01:06] [SPEAKER_00]: We're favored, privileged, honored and special in the eyes of God.

[00:01:09] [SPEAKER_00]: And here's why. Three reasons.

[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Number one, he made us.

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not a freak of the evolutionary process.

[00:01:18] [SPEAKER_00]: We're not here by accident.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes we look at ourselves and we say, I wish I'd be like that person.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_00]: Or I wish I had the gifts that that person has.

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_00]: Or I wish I looked like that person.

[00:01:28] [SPEAKER_00]: Or I wish I had more money or more success.

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_00]: Or I wish this and that.

[00:01:31] [SPEAKER_00]: I wish I was somebody else.

[00:01:33] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this.

[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_00]: God made you just the way he wants you to be.

[00:01:40] [SPEAKER_00]: When you came out of the womb, God did not look at you and say, whoops, I sure blew that one.

[00:01:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Right?

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_00]: Do over.

[00:01:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He didn't say that.

[00:01:50] [SPEAKER_00]: When you were made, when you came out of the womb, God said, you're fearfully and wonderfully made.

[00:01:55] [SPEAKER_00]: You are not a piece of junk.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes we look at other people and say, why can't I be more like him?

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_00]: Sometimes my son, my oldest son is an incredible leader, a gifted order, a marvelous singer.

[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes in my sinful condition, I'll look at him and I'll say, God, why can't I be more like him?

[00:02:14] [SPEAKER_00]: But what I got to remember is, God made me who I am and he made you who you are.

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_00]: With all the gifts and talents and personality traits and all of that, he made you just the way he wants you to be.

[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_00]: So don't compare yourself to somebody else and say, I wish I was more like him or her.

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_00]: He made you just the way you are.

[00:02:35] [SPEAKER_00]: And he wants you to be who he made you to be.

[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_00]: So that's what it means to be on the right hand of God.

[00:02:40] [SPEAKER_00]: He made you.

[00:02:41] [SPEAKER_00]: But secondly, he saved you.

[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_00]: We're born in sin, separated from God.

[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes at the end of the day, you can look at what you've done or said and say, why did I say that?

[00:02:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Why did I do that?

[00:02:54] [SPEAKER_00]: Well, it's because we're sinful.

[00:02:56] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes we break God's commandments.

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_00]: But here is the marvelous thing.

[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_00]: God, in his infinite love and amazing grace, dispatched his son, Jesus Christ, to planet Earth to save us.

[00:03:08] [SPEAKER_00]: And he did that by living a life we could not live.

[00:03:11] [SPEAKER_00]: He kept the commandments that we have disobeyed.

[00:03:14] [SPEAKER_00]: He was lifted up on a cross and he died for our sins.

[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_00]: And then three days later, he said he was going to rise from the dead.

[00:03:20] [SPEAKER_00]: And guess what, folks?

[00:03:22] [SPEAKER_00]: He did it because he's the son of God.

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_00]: He's a sinless, stainless lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world and he defeated death.

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_00]: And we can look right at the face of death.

[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_00]: As a matter of fact, because what Christ has done and say it's been defeated.

[00:03:37] [SPEAKER_00]: And because it's been defeated, we're going to heaven someday when we pass on.

[00:03:42] [SPEAKER_00]: Or if Christ comes back in our lifetime, guess what?

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_00]: We won't die and he'll take us to heaven to live with him forever.

[00:03:48] [SPEAKER_00]: And guess which side we're going to be on.

[00:03:51] [SPEAKER_00]: Not on the left, but on the right.

[00:03:53] [SPEAKER_00]: Right. So we're on the right hand of God right now.

[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_00]: He made us, he saved us, and we are his privileged children.

[00:04:03] [SPEAKER_00]: The Bible says this,

[00:04:05] [SPEAKER_00]: Fear not, I've redeemed you.

[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_00]: I have called you by name.

[00:04:08] [SPEAKER_00]: You are mine.

[00:04:11] [SPEAKER_00]: Romans chapter 8 says,

[00:04:12] [SPEAKER_00]: Nothing can separate us from the love of God.

[00:04:15] [SPEAKER_00]: Not trouble or hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or peril or sword.

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_00]: Knowing all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us.

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_00]: For the Bible says, I'm convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities nor things present nor powers nor height nor depth nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_00]: You are special to God.

[00:04:39] [SPEAKER_00]: You are his prized possession.

[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_00]: You are the apple of his eye.

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_00]: He sent his son to save you.

[00:04:44] [SPEAKER_00]: And sometimes we look at ourselves and we say, I'm nothing special.

[00:04:47] [SPEAKER_00]: Listen to this.

[00:04:48] [SPEAKER_00]: He made you.

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_00]: He saved you.

[00:04:51] [SPEAKER_00]: And you're special in his eyes.

[00:04:52] [SPEAKER_00]: And that's what it means to be seated on the right hand of God.

[00:04:58] [SPEAKER_00]: Amen.

[00:04:59] [SPEAKER_01]: Amen.
