[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. Whether you've been a believer for a short time or a believer for a long time, the Outcome is the same. Through faith in Jesus Christ
[00:00:19] at the end of your life, you're ushered into the presence of God and it doesn't matter how long you believed the Outcome is exactly the same. Eternal life in heaven with God the Father's Son and Holy Spirit. Now, some people might say that doesn't sound fair.
[00:00:39] Did Jesus tell a parable about that? Oh yeah. Remember the last couple days we talk about a master and servants who worked in the vineyard. He started out the day and he asked
[00:00:49] some servants to work all day and they did and then a little bit into the day, some servants worked in the vineyard and then we picked up verse 4. So they went, going out again about
[00:00:58] the sixth hour which is noon and the ninth hour which is 3 p.m., he did the same. And about the 11th hour he went out and found others standing and he said to them, why do
[00:01:08] you stand here idle all day? They said to him, because no one has hired us, he said to them, go into the vineyard too. And when evening came the owner of the vineyard said
[00:01:19] to his foreman, call the laborers and pay them their wages beginning with the last up to the first. And when those hired about the 11th hour came each of them received the denarius. Now when those hired first came they thought they would receive more but each
[00:01:37] of them also received a denarius and on receiving it they grumbled at the master at the house. I'll bet they did saying these last ones worked only one hour and you've made them
[00:01:49] equal to us who've bore the burden of the day and the scorching heat. Now what's it's talking about? What this is talking about is it doesn't matter how long you've known Jesus, right?
[00:02:02] Whether it's a short time or a long time as we said before the outcome, the result of that faith relationship with Jesus Christ is the same eternal life in heaven. Now from some people's
[00:02:13] perspective, that doesn't sound fair but here's the thing, if you've known Jesus for a long time, you've known the assurance of salvation that no matter when you left planet Earth you're going to go to heaven. You've had that assurance all these years. You've been part of a local
[00:02:29] congregation, a community of family which is awesome. As we talked about yesterday, you've probably used your gifts and talents to serve the Lord by serving others. That too is tremendous. Think about all the worship services you've experienced hearing the counsel of God's Word. You've had an
[00:02:47] answer for an anchor for your soul and direction for your life. You have had the assurance that when you pass on as we talked about before, you knew where you were going. People who don't have
[00:02:59] Christ until maybe the last few months or years of their life are pretty much living on their own, living apart from the kingdom, determining their own faith, living out according to their simple
[00:03:12] inclinations without the power of the Holy Spirit. My friends, it is a blessing to no Christ most of one's life and for most of people are listening to my words right now that's you. Thank God
[00:03:27] praise him for bringing you to faith early in life. And if you are a Johnny Cummlaidly to the faith, welcome to the family of God. We're glad you're part of this community. We're glad that you know
[00:03:38] Jesus is Savior and may He continue to comfort and bless guide and direct but most importantly, assure you that though your sins are a scarlet there is white as snow that God has removed the
[00:03:51] dead of your sin away from him because what Christ has done at the cross and no matter when you leave planet Earth, you have the assurance that you'll be ushered into the presence of God to live
[00:04:03] with Him forever. It doesn't matter how long you've known Christ the outcome is the same. Now here's a thing. We're going to be celebrating good Friday, or very soon, right? And what happens on
[00:04:19] good Friday? The thief on the cross had a deaf bed conversion. He looked at the middle man who hung on the cross Jesus of Nazareth and he said, remember me when you come into your kingdom and what
[00:04:33] did Jesus say? Verily I say to you today you'll be with me in Paradise. Praise God, He was safe but think of all that he missed out on. No community, no gifts and talents to serve the Lord,
[00:04:46] no Christian congregation in which to be a part of, living a life that's determined and dictated by his own sinful flesh. Oh yes, he was a Johnny Cumlightly but he missed a lot. And those of you who have
[00:05:01] just been welcomed into the faith, yep, you can look at those who have known Christ for a long time and say, boy, I wish I would have been a believer as long as you because I've missed a lot.
[00:05:12] Nevertheless, let that go. We're glad you know Jesus now. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ and that is today's daily truth. Thank you for tuning in to daily truths with Dave Olman.
