[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman Praise First, He in Peace! Be on to You from God, Father, and from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Some of you may be wondering why He seated today. Well, many of you know that I had him,

[00:00:17] total hip replacement surgery just a nine days ago, and I'm getting around really, really well, but not well enough to jump around and walk around like I usually do when I preach.

[00:00:28] So I'm going to be delivering this message seated today, and I'm so much looking forward to it. We had vacation Bible school this past week. It was a wonderful week, and I want to tell you even though our

[00:00:41] congregation, it's getting younger I know, but we're fairly elderly here, right? But these people that carried out VBS this week acted like they were 25 instead of 65, 75, in some cases, 85. Yeah, I mean, they were amazing! The energy that they produced, the love that they had for the children,

[00:01:06] the zest and vitality for the Word of God, it was amazing. And really as you see those pictures, it was quite a week. And so today I'm going to be kind of retraking what we talked about at VBS this week.

[00:01:22] And you're probably wondering what is the text? You'll not believe this, but maybe you will after I talk about this this morning. The text for the meditation today is the Bible. Ever heard that? The whole Bible? Pastor Dave, how are you going to talk about the whole Bible?

[00:01:42] And basically the essentials of the Bible in a 20 minute, maybe 30 minute, maybe 40 minute, maybe 50, no, I'm just kidding. At 20 minutes sermon, how are you going to do that? Well, we're going to be looking at today the five Cs of Christianity.

[00:01:57] The five Cs of Christianity and here's the first one. It's creation. You and I know. And by the way, this is all rehash. Just about every one of you here today, no all this stuff.

[00:02:12] But if you ever want to have an outline regarding how to present the gospel, these five Cs are really good. And that's why I'd encourage you to take notes today. So the first one is creation.

[00:02:25] We know that God the Father's Son and Holy Spirit created all things in six days. And how did God do that? He simply said the word and boom, it happened.

[00:02:40] By the power of the Word of God, He created fish and animals and birds and plants and the seas and everything we see. The universe and we know that the universe is massive. Why? Because we serve a massive God.

[00:02:58] And when you think about God creating everything in just six days and then resting on the seventh, it's pretty amazing. And of course, after he created everything that we see in everything that is living on the sixth day, he created Adam.

[00:03:18] And he took Adam out of some ground and fashioned and formulated this creature and breathed into that creature the breath of life. And then, after time, God recognized that Adam was alone and he created Eve for Adam.

[00:03:34] We know this, right? And then what did God say? You can do anything, go anywhere just don't eat the fruit of the tree of the knowledge of good needful. And if you do, your eyes will be opened and you will die. And that's exactly what happened.

[00:03:57] And before that ever occurred, you think about this, Satan in the form of a servant, a serpent came to Adam and Eve and said, If you eat of the fruit, your eyes will be opened and you'll be like God.

[00:04:12] Well, who doesn't want to be like God? Who doesn't want to be in control of their own universe and dictating what happens in life? And so that was a very appealing. And of course, we know they fell into sin.

[00:04:24] And as a result of that, their relationship with God was severed. And you think about that it was not a pleasant sight. Now, what was their relationship with God like before they fell into sin?

[00:04:40] It was perfect. They walked with God, they talked with God, they ate with God, they had a relationship with God. And everything was marvelous and perfect. And the forces of nature were marvelous and perfect.

[00:04:55] No tornadoes, no earthquakes, no pestilences, no famines, everything in life, everything in creation was just the way God wanted to be. And some people have asked me, what was the weather like? It was like the beauty of northern Minnesota without mosquitoes and without humidity.

[00:05:16] I mean it was incredible, right? So that's the way God created it. And his will was Adam and Eve would stay in the garden and have kids, and they would have kids, and they would have kids.

[00:05:30] And they would live in a perfect union and communion with God forever into eternity. That was God's plan. Thank you for tuning in to daily truths with Dave Olman. Mr. Dave Olman is the pastor of Mount Hoorch, and Boulder, Colorado.
