[00:00:00] We'll truth Daily, this is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman But then we come to the second scene which is corruption. And I already talked a little bit about this already but Adam and Eve fell. They ate of the fruit. Death was introduced to planet Earth.
[00:00:26] They were booted out of the garden. The relationship with God was severed. Now as a result of that work and relationships would be severed and broken. Work would become difficult. Relationships would become difficult. Adam and Eve now realized because they were sinful.
[00:00:47] They now became self-centered instead of other-centered. They became self-focused instead of others focused. And sin was introduced and now arguments became a very real part of their life. And because that corruption was part of their DNA that was passed onto their kids.
[00:01:08] And then their kids and then their kids and then their kids. And not only that, this is something I hear about all the time from my believers. If God is a loving God, why are there so many tornadoes, earthquakes,
[00:01:24] pestilences, famines and all these horrible things that happen in the forces of nature? Whose fault is that? Is it gods or Satan and Adam and Eve's? It's the latter. They're the ones who introduced that.
[00:01:40] And so all the forces of nature were out of sync, harmony and balance with God as a result of Adam and Eve's corruption. And here's the thing that corruption has been passed on to you and me.
[00:01:53] We find ourselves sometimes doing things and saying things opposed to the will of God. We sin against others and others sin against us. And when we look at the chaos of this world, the Utopians would say, oh everything is going to get better.
[00:02:13] It's like that 1960s commercial by Coke, I'd like to teach the world a thing in perfect harmony. And there's a lot of people who think that's going to happen someday. They think we're going to continue to get better and better and better.
[00:02:25] And what do we see in reality? We're getting worse and worse and worse. And that's why things like what happened in Israel and what happened with the moss. And what happened in Ukraine.
[00:02:37] And all these different things, wars and rumors of war all happened as a result of the war. And as a result of the corruption of Adam and Eve, this is why there's chaos. This is why there's problems. This is why there's difficulties.
[00:02:51] And usually when people come into my office and they're having marital problems, you know what the first question is that I ask them, how come you're sinning against each other? How come you're not fulfilling the promises that you've made?
[00:03:06] How come you're not treating each other with kindness and love and respect and forgiveness? And there's one simple three-word answer that answers it all. It starts with a letter S. You guys say it. Sin. And that sin was introduced by Adam and Eve.
[00:03:31] And it's a part of my life, and a part of your life. And that's why sometimes at the end of the day you ask yourself, how is I capable of saying that or doing that? And you know the answer. It's because of the corruption of sin.
[00:03:49] Now as a result of all that, confusion was introduced to planet Earth. And the story of vacation Bible school about confusion was the tower of Babel, or a Babel depending on how you want to pronounce it. What's the tower of Babel? These people were so filled with themselves.
[00:04:08] And by the way they spoke one language, they were so filled with themselves that they thought that they could build this tower all the way to heaven. Right? Look at how great and mighty and wonderful we are, right? They were exerping the authority of God.
[00:04:24] They were taking God's place. They were saying, where is mighty as God? And then what happened? God caused their languages to change. They couldn't understand what another. They became confused in their communication. And all of their projects came to a sudden stop. Because confusion had been introduced.
[00:04:47] You think about the world today. Is there not a lot of confusion? Why is it that what used to be right is wrong? And what used to be wrong is right. Have you noticed that? Why is it that we turn on the TV?
[00:05:05] And sometimes we hear politicians say things that are coming out of their mouth that the Bible is diametrically opposed to. But because there's a confusion in the world, because of sin, people don't know what's right and wrong. People don't know what's up and down. Why?
[00:05:22] Because the confusion that comes from the corruption of sin that entered the world through Adam and Eve. And so we've got a mess on our hands. Do we not? Through these three seas. Creation everything was created perfect. God created Adam and Eve perfect.
[00:05:38] The world as we don't know it now was perfect. Their relationships with one another was perfect. The forces of nature were perfect and then corruption came. And then confusion came. And God stood up there in heaven, looked down upon earth and said,
[00:05:55] Boy, you guys have made a mess of things. You're pretty much on your own. I mean, it could have done that. It could have done that. It could have looked at Adam and Eve and said, All of that that's happening down there on planet earth is your fault.
[00:06:21] And I'm doing nothing about it. But as you know, God in His astounding mercy and amazing grace and incredible love. Dispatch Jesus Christ to come to planet earth. We know that our sins separates us from God. And Jesus came for one primary purpose to put together
[00:06:47] Humpty Dumpty once again, right? To bridge the gap between man and God and that gap was sin. And the only bridge that could bridge that gap was the cross of Jesus Christ. Amen. And so Christ went to the cross and because He shed His blood on that cross,
[00:07:08] we are reconciled to God and by repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. We cross that bridge and go from separation from God to union with God. Being lost to being found. Being totally away from God to being totally united with God. Why? Because Jesus died for you.
[00:07:33] And because He died for you, the corruption as a result of Adam and Eve sin that so much a part of our life has been forgiven. It was nailed to the cross which Jesus Christ.
[00:07:49] And the marvelous thing is God looks at us through the shed blood of Christ and declares us innocent for the sake of what Jesus has done. We're rolled in the righteousness, purity, holiness and perfection of Jesus Christ. God doesn't see our sin.
[00:08:07] He sees the righteousness of his son and this is why Christ came. And even though we're all born and corruption and even though sometimes we're confused about the way things are in our life and the way things are in the world.
[00:08:23] When we know Jesus and we've crossed that bridge and sin has been taken up by the cross of Christ, we have this union and fellowship and communion with God that the gates of hell cannot prevail against. Amen?
[00:08:39] And then we can say who shall separate us from the love of Christ. She'll trouble our hardship or persecution or famine or nakedness or perilous sword. No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
[00:08:54] From convinced that neither death nor life nor angels nor principalities, their things present or powers nor height nor depth, nor anything else and all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.
[00:09:09] When you take your last breath here on planet Earth, you know exactly where you're going. You know heaven is your eternal home and you know how everything ends up. You ever noticed how many people in life today are purposeless and directionless and hopeless? Why?
[00:09:32] Because they don't have a Savior. They don't know Jesus. The marvelous thing is because Christ has bridged the gap of sin through His cross, like makes sense. By the way, if you ask an atheist, why is the world so messed up? Would they have an answer? Not really.
[00:10:01] Not really. I mean, you can trace all the things that happen wrong in the world back to the corruption that comes from Adam and Eve. And I've said this before and I'll say it again. That's why we're a war two happened. That's why 9-11 happened.
[00:10:22] That's why column by and happen. That's why Sandy Hook happened. And what's amazing is the atheistic secular media is dumbfounded. You ever noticed that? They have no explanation. I would be dumbfounded if someone on CNN would get on the news and say,
[00:10:41] well, this all happened because we live in a corrupt world and we're all born and sin from Adam and Eve. Wouldn't that be something? I want to jump in there and give the real answer to the real problem.
[00:10:53] Because the real problem is sin and the real answer is Christ. But we live in a world where people don't want to hear that. And it's our role, and you've heard me say this many times the last couple months. It's our role to get this message out.
