Matthew 19:1-2 - During the Super Bowl we saw entirely too many shots of Taylor Swift. Not everybody is a fan of Taylor Swift. And not everybody is a fan of Jesus Christ.

[00:00:00] We'll truth Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman We'll see if we can catch a 10-yard pass for a start and they show Taylor Swift. Do I really care? And then at the end of the game, you know, in the interview Travis Kelsey, he was saying
[00:00:44] Vibba, lost Vegas and he said it like 70 times it seemed like and then they panned to her and she was going, and then when she gets on the field she hugs him and kisses
[00:00:57] of you, I really need to see that, incessantly for a minute and a half or whatever it was to see your joy and exuberance over the fact that the cheese should one of the Super Bowl unfortunately I'm a Bronco fan.
[00:01:09] Yeah, I mean not everybody is a Taylor Swift fan and if you're a Swift, I'm sorry I'm offending you probably but I don't care. Not everybody is a Taylor Swift fan. Not everybody in Jesus' day was a Jesus Christ fan.
[00:01:27] Now we're in Matthew chapter 19 versus one and two and this is what it says. Now when Jesus had finished these things, he went away from Galilee and entered the region of Judea beyond the Jordan and large crowds followed him and he healed them there.
[00:01:45] Now you can see the map. This was about a 60-mile journey so it took Jesus a couple days to walk from Galilee down to Judea and as you see the lower left part of the map right. And so these crowds followed him. Why did they follow him?
[00:02:00] Because of his ability to communicate for sure also because of his healing power and people that needed their loved ones healed would follow him or maybe they themselves needed to be healed. They would follow him not everybody however followed Jesus.
[00:02:16] Now listen to this, when Christ comes back the Bible says that every knee shall bow in every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord. But believers and on earth, non-believers are going to worship and adore and acknowledge Jesus as a son of God and Savior of the world.
[00:02:37] By that time when Christ comes back it's too late for people to be fans of Jesus Christ. We need to be fans of Him, followers of Him, believers in Him now. We know back then not everybody was a fan of Jesus.
[00:02:53] Some said he's just a renegade, he's a false prophet, some people had never even heard the name of Jesus. Many people had not but many people acknowledged Him as a son of God. The same thing is true today.
[00:03:05] One quarter of the world believes in Jesus Christ is Savior and Lord. However three quarters of the world is not. And so when Christ comes back how many people will be saved and ushered into heaven? Well, about, you know, one fourth.
[00:03:21] How many will not be ushered into heaven and cast into hell? About three quarters. So here's my point. We need to be about the Father's business of making Jesus known. The Lord is waiting and tearing and not coming when we want Him to come here on planet earth
[00:03:39] to take His home because He's waiting for as many people as possible to come to faith. So what are you doing in your life to make Jesus Christ known to people who don't know Him? Let me give you some help.
[00:03:52] Identify one or two people that you know that may be on the fan's regarding Christianity and when the Holy Spirit opens the door for you to testify what Christ is done, go through that door. Have your testimony ready. Have your witness ready.
[00:04:07] And what do you talk about sin that since separates us from God? The Jesus bridges the gap between God and us that He died and rose again and through repentance and faith in Jesus. We have this relationship with God and we get to go to heaven.
[00:04:23] It's that simple. Not everybody is a Taylor Swift fan and definitely here on planet earth not everybody is a Jesus Christ fan. We want to break down the gates of heaven and win as many people for the Lord Jesus Christ
[00:04:40] is possible and only the Holy Spirit can do that through us. So let's be ready. Let's be available. Let's have our testimony prepared and then when the Spirit says, now we go through
[00:04:56] the door and we say, this is what Jesus means to me and I want you to believe in Him as well. Alright. Sorry if I offended some of you Swifties out there have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ and that is today's daily truth.
