[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. You know, the Pharisees were relentlessly pursuing Jesus throughout his ministry during the three years of public ministry in the life

[00:00:21] of Jesus Christ, they would not give up. We're in Matthew chapter 19 verse 3 and this is what it says. And the Pharisees came up to Him and tested him, man, man, talk about relentless. They were always pursuing him trying to trip him up into saying something that

[00:00:45] they thought was false. They were always accusing him of being a false teacher. They hated Jesus. Can you imagine hating Jesus? I mean, that's like saying, I hate God because that's who he was. That's who he is. They hated Jesus and they especially hated the fact

[00:01:04] that he proclaimed himself to be the Son of God. They were relentless in pursuing Jesus and tried to destroy, divide and uproot his ministry. Relentless. Do you know who's relentless in our lives? Satan. He's always trying to trip us up into sin, right? He

[00:01:27] throws temptation after temptation after us trying to get us to fall into that temptation. He constantly accuses us of our wrongs, pointing to all the things that we've done wrong and then speaking to our subconscious by saying, hey, you don't deserve to be a child of God.

[00:01:43] Look at all the times you've messed up. Satan hates us and he hates the proclamation that we make that Jesus is the Son of God. But do you know what? In the face of all that,

[00:01:58] when he's trying to trip us up into sin, we have a strong defense, a mighty warrior, Jesus Christ and the Word of God, which helps us remain faithful to Christ and resist temptation.

[00:02:11] When Satan accuses us of our sin, all we have to do is point him to the finished work of Christ and know that he is defeated fall through the finished work of Jesus at the cross.

[00:02:23] When he tries to tell us that he hates us, any does? Hey, it is. Do you know what? Greater is he that's in us than he that's in the world. Our best friend is Christ. Who's constantly by our side, uplifting us, supporting us, encouraging us and forgiving us

[00:02:40] for all our wrongs. And when Satan says that he hates the confession we make, do you know what? We just keep making it. We persevere in the faith. For he will be good at working us. We'll bring it to completion on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ.

[00:02:57] Revelation 2, 10 says, be faithful unto death and I'll give thee the crown of life. So we persevere. Satan hates the confession that we make, who cares? He's a defeated foe. My friend Satan is relentless. But we have a mighty foe of victorious warrior in Jesus

[00:03:17] and we have the strong arm of the Word of God to seal us, to protect us, to defend us, and to lift us up, pointing us to the finished work of Jesus. When Jesus was walking the earth,

[00:03:30] the Pharisees were relentless. As we walk the face of the earth, Satan is relentless. But thanks be to God. We are more than conquerors through Jesus who loved us. And that is today's daily truth. Have a great day in Jesus Christ.
