How Can You Tell if Someone is a False Teacher? | Matthew 24:11 | August 11, 2024

[00:00:00] We'll Truths Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman We have a pope that tells us that every religion leads to the same place. It really doesn't matter what religion you're part of, Hindus, Buddhists, Mohammedans, Christians, Jews, Mormons, Jove witnesses.

[00:00:45] We all believe in the same God and we're all going to end up in the same place. That is a false prophet. We have people who say faith in Jesus Christ saves you but also obedience to the law. So it's faith in Christ, plus obedience to the law.

[00:01:01] We have people who say, you know what? I don't believe the whole Bible is a word of God but some that is that's a false teacher. If anybody teaches something contradictory to the Word or in addition to the Word of God, That's a false teacher.

[00:01:16] Now let me give you a couple examples. I love Joyce Meyer and Joel O. Steen regarding how they proclaim things. They are about as gifted proclaimers as anybody I've ever met.

[00:01:29] However, they basically teach that mankind that we are inherently good and that God is to help us out To give us our best life now. Well that's a false teaching because the teaching of the Word of God is that we're not inherently good. That we're inherently bad.

[00:01:46] That we're sinful people and we can't save ourselves and God does not want to to have our best life now. God wants us to have our best life in the world to come.

[00:01:55] When we're in heaven with our Lord Jesus and we're living in the new heaven and the new earth, We are at a persevere through troubles, persevere through trials And just because we're Christians does not alleviate us from sorrow and pain and difficulty.

[00:02:10] This is contradictory to what oftentimes you hear from Joyce Meyer and Joel O. Steen. Now again, I deeply respect the ability they have to communicate but they are false teachers. So here's the bottom line of this devotion today.

[00:02:25] If you're in a church that teaches things contradictory to the Word of God, go to a different place. Find a church that preaches and teaches the Word of God into its entirety. And if you're in a church like that, stay there.

[00:02:41] If you're not in a church like that, leave there and go to a place that teaches the Word of God in its entirety. And it's truth and purity without any additions or any deletions. Okay?

[00:02:54] And if you're in a church that proclaims the Word of God in its truth and purity, tell your pastor, you appreciate it. Tell him you appreciate that he doesn't water down the Scriptures and teaches and preaches the truth of God's Word.

[00:03:07] And I know he will appreciate that Word of affirmation. By the way, I appreciate you guys saying such kind things in your comments section here on Daily Truths. I love what I do.

[00:03:20] I feel like it's a blessing in my life to be able to do this because in my retirement, what was I going to do? Just sit around and twittled my thumbs or travel over the place by the way. We're currently on vacation.

[00:03:33] You're probably thinking, man, you do a lot of these in the car as because we travel a lot, right? We're in a beautiful place called Blues Fruse RV Park.

[00:03:42] And by the way, everybody that's here pretty much stays your all summer and guess where they're all from without exception. Guess where they're all from. Wait for it. Wait for it. Texas. Now, if I were in Texas in the summer, I'd come here to Colorado too.

[00:04:02] By the way, this place is about 8,000 feet. And again, I get, I guess like six feet of snow every, every winter. Okay. All right. Enough of that. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is today's Daily Truths.
