[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:00:30] We'll talk about the fact that we're not going to be able to do anything else.

[00:00:35] But very few people, especially outside the church, believe that there's a real place called

[00:00:41] Hell. Now, did Jesus ever talk about that? Remember we're in the parable of the wedding feast?

[00:00:47] And remember we talked about yesterday about a person who shows up at the wedding feast

[00:00:52] without a garment. We said, politically back then someone would show up for a wedding feast,

[00:00:57] the proper clothes. The host would make sure the king would make sure the host of the banquet

[00:01:02] would make sure that they have the appropriate clothes so that they could enter the banquet.

[00:01:07] Now, remember we're picking this up in verse 15 and this is what it says. Then the king said to the attendants,

[00:01:17] by the one who didn't have the proper wedding garment, by him, hand and foot and cast him into the outer darkness.

[00:01:25] In that place there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth. If the proper robe and attire is faith in Jesus Christ,

[00:01:34] robed in the righteousness of Jesus, then those who are not believers in Christ will have this final destiny

[00:01:41] according to their declaration of not believing in Jesus. And what is their final destiny?

[00:01:47] Really, Jesus talks about three things here. First of all, darkness and when person isn't darkness,

[00:01:53] they're totally apart from life. And Jesus is the light of the world and will be enveloped in life

[00:01:59] when Christ comes back and we're elevated to the glorious presence of being with him in heaven above.

[00:02:04] We'll be in the light. Those who are not believers in Christ will be totally separated from God and in darkness.

[00:02:11] And then it says, where there is going to be weeping, what's that mean? There's going to be great sorrow.

[00:02:17] When you think about the times when you've wept in life, it's probably not been tears of joy, very often it's been tears of sadness or tears of sorrow.

[00:02:26] And so in hell there is going to be continually sorrowful feelings. There's going to be perpetual sadness. Why?

[00:02:34] Because they're not in the presence of God and then gnashing of teeth. What's that indicating of?

[00:02:40] It's indicating of a perpetual feeling of pain. It never ends, it never stops. You think about the most painful experience,

[00:02:50] physically you've ever had in life. Nashing of teeth is indicative that there's going to be great pain in hell.

[00:02:57] And so we're talking about total separation from God, total sorrow and total pain. This is what hell is like.

[00:03:07] Now my friends, we've ensaved, rescued and delivered from that. Why?

[00:03:12] Because Christ Jesus came to this world and he died in our place and rose again for the dead to pay first in and to conquer death so that we have eternal life.

[00:03:22] We don't have to be afraid of the appending doom of hell.

[00:03:26] We've been rescued, Satan delivered from that because of Jesus.

[00:03:31] But the bottom light is people that don't have Christ. People that don't acknowledge Him as Savior.

[00:03:37] This is their final destiny, total separation from God, life and darkness, perpetual sadness and perpetual pain.

[00:03:46] We want people to be rescued from that.

[00:03:49] This is why we're about the father's business of getting the gospel out.

[00:03:54] Remember, I had a devotion, probably a year ago, where asked my grandson, Micah.

[00:04:00] What did Jesus save us from? What do we have because of Christ?

[00:04:05] They said, what is sure and do you have because you believe in Jesus?

[00:04:08] And he said, I'm not going to hell.

[00:04:11] So somehow in some way in his confirmation class, it was evidence to him that hell is a very real place.

[00:04:18] My friends, Jesus talks explicitly about hell in this text.

[00:04:24] It is a very real place and as we said before, real people go there.

[00:04:29] We don't want anyone to perish but that all my congregate parents reflect in Christ.

[00:04:35] So continue to be about the father's business, make Jesus known, look for opportunities to share the gospel so that others might be saved

[00:04:45] from the bestages of hell and elevate her the glorious status of being called the child of God headed to heaven.

[00:04:52] Let it be so and let it be done to the glory of God's holy and saving name.

[00:04:58] And that is today's daily truth, have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ.
