[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman. We live, we die, eat drink and be merry for tomorrow. That's the end of it. Wow. What a hopeless, meaningless existence that is.

[00:00:40] Listen what the Scripture is saying. Matthew chapter 22 verse 23 about the sadacies. Now the sadacies were part of the Pharisees. Pharisees, miracles, and sadacies and scribes. And the sadacies were the second tier of the religious leaders of the Jews of Jesus' day.

[00:00:57] So it says this in verse 23 that same day sadacies came to him who say there is no resurrection. So not only did they not believe in the resurrection of the dead, they didn't believe in angels. They didn't believe in spirits.

[00:01:14] And they didn't believe in the promised Messiah. Other than that, they were good. Why bother? If you don't believe in angels or spirits or the resurrection of the dead or Jesus being the promised Messiah, why have a religion at all?

[00:01:29] But that's where they were. That's what they had here to, that's what they believed.

[00:01:35] Now say Paul writes about that. He says, if there is no resurrection of the dead, we're people most to be pityed. If Jesus is not been raised for the dead, we're people most to be pityed.

[00:01:46] But the bottom line is Christ has been raised for his Corinthians 15 tells us, and because Christ has been raised, we too shall rise from the dead. As a matter of fact, the cataclysm teaches us based on the Word of God that the resurrection of Jesus proves four things.

[00:02:02] Number one, that is Dr. Nistru, number two that he's the Son of God, number three that God accepted his sacrifice and be half-farsin and number four. And this is my favorite because he's been raised.

[00:02:14] We too shall be raised from the dead. So we believe in the resurrection of the dead. I just was at vacation Bible school at Mount Hope.

[00:02:23] And we talked about what heaven is going to be like. No more sorrow, no more pain, no more suffering, no more death. All these different things.

[00:02:31] If there's no resurrection of the dead, we can't look forward to that. I think about the sad you see is, what was our life all about? What was their joy consisting of? I don't know, but it must have been a pretty empty hopeless meaningless existence.

[00:02:47] It's not that way with us. Thanks be to God. So we believe in the resurrection of the dead. I think what we say in the third article, the Apostles Creed,

[00:02:56] I believe in the Holy Spirit, the Holy Christian Church, the communion of saints, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body and the life everlasting. I love it.

[00:03:08] That's what we believe, that's what we teach, that's we confess. And that is today's daily truth. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ. Thank you.
