[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Real Truth Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman
[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. I'm at a swim meet at an indoor facility right now here in, I think, Thornton, Colorado.
[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: It's a huge facility. There's probably 1500 people in the building itself. They have grandstands and here's the two things about it.
[00:00:22] [SPEAKER_01]: It's really noisy and it's really humid. So with all the noise and all the humidity and kids screaming and people cheering for one another
[00:00:32] [SPEAKER_01]: and people cheering for their kids and all this kind of stuff, oh my goodness, it's chaotic, it's loud, it's really hot and you can't wait to get out of there.
[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: I mean, you're there for the event. You're there to enjoy it and I'm here for my grandkids.
[00:00:51] [SPEAKER_01]: But I got to tell you the contrast when you get out of the building and you go outside and it's in the morning and it's quiet, it's serene
[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_01]: and you kind of get outside and you go, ahhhhh....
[00:01:07] [SPEAKER_01]: We're in the midst of a lot of turbulence here. Not only in America but around the world.
[00:01:12] [SPEAKER_01]: This is what Matthew chapter 24 verse 7 says and this is what it's talking about coming up into the end times when Jesus comes back.
[00:01:21] [SPEAKER_01]: For nation will rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom. This is Matthew 24 verse 7 and there will be famines and earthquakes in various places.
[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Nation rising up against nations, kingdom against kingdom, more famines, more earthquakes.
[00:01:35] [SPEAKER_01]: There have been more famines and earthquakes the last hundred years in the world than all the other years up until that time.
[00:01:43] [SPEAKER_01]: What does that tell us? That the time is coming when Jesus is coming back. We're moving towards it. It's becoming escalated.
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: We're transitioning into the time when Christ returns and here's the thing, because it's so chaotic in our world,
[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_01]: not only with kingdom rising up against kingdom and nation against nation and also earthquakes and pestilences and all these things that it's talking about when Christ comes back.
[00:02:08] [SPEAKER_01]: It's going to be like stepping out of an auditorium out into the coolness, out into the peacefulness and we can say when Jesus comes back, peace, serenity, security, eternal life, no problems, no disappointments,
[00:02:29] [SPEAKER_01]: no heartache, no warfare, no bloodshed. Won't that be something?
[00:02:36] [SPEAKER_01]: So until then, we keep the faith. We trust in Jesus. We see things escalating, see things becoming more and more chaotic.
[00:02:45] [SPEAKER_01]: And so what do we do? We cling to the promises of God and the treasures that we have in Christ Jesus and the certainty that a better day is coming.
[00:02:55] [SPEAKER_01]: So I'm going to go back in the auditorium now and watch my grandkids and watch them swim and go back into the chaotic environment and the noise and the sweat and the humidity,
[00:03:06] [SPEAKER_01]: but I'll be okay knowing I can step out and cool off and go, ah, can you imagine we'll be in the presence of God for everyone?
[00:03:16] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus comes back and it won't just be a temporary, ah, it will be an eternal, living in his presence, celebrating in his glory, serving one another and serving him forever and ever in perfect peace, perfect bliss, perfect happiness,
[00:03:33] [SPEAKER_01]: perfect joy, perfect serenity, no sickness, no death. Indeed we can say, ah, forever.
[00:03:43] [SPEAKER_01]: That is today's Daily Truth. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ.
