Why Can't We Remember Certain Words?

[00:00:07] Hi everybody, can I talk in just a humorous way about something? About a week ago

[00:00:13] I did one of these podcasts and I couldn't remember the word you crying. It's so

[00:00:21] we end it that part out. I said and we're upset about Russia attacking and going into

[00:00:28] that place south of there. I felt so stupid. I told my editor, go ahead and take it out. Why is

[00:00:36] that sometimes we can't remember words? I have a theory about this. How come we never forget

[00:00:42] the words and the and it and your spouse's name are close friends name. How come

[00:00:48] we never forget that? Because we use those words regularly but I haven't mentioned the word you

[00:00:55] can't remember. I'm not sure if you can remember that. I have a very

[00:00:59] hard time to come by. Sometimes we might say, well I have early stages to mention where

[00:01:05] I'm cognitive, cognitively declining. We hear that all the time in political

[00:01:12] realms, right? Trump is cognitively declining and so is Biden. You know, all that kind of

[00:01:17] stuff. Well, the bottom line is we are broken people. My mind is not as

[00:01:24] clear as I would like it to be. My body doesn't work as well as I like it to work. Why

[00:01:29] is that? Because we're headed to death. Oh, that's horrible. Well, it is for people

[00:01:37] that don't know Jesus, right? But for us, we understand that everyday we live where one day

[00:01:42] closer to being in the realms of glory with our Lord Jesus Christ. So this is why we look

[00:01:48] at death and our fellow, our fellow, our pro and our firmty kind of ways remind us that

[00:01:54] we're headed to death. Right? But we look at death and say with the Apostle Paul,

[00:01:58] what death where's your sting? Oh, great. Where's your victory? The sting of death

[00:02:02] this sin and the power of sin is a law but thanks for you to God who gives us the

[00:02:06] victory through our Lord Jesus Christ. So I and you have a victory through Jesus.

[00:02:12] Right? So I'm worried about it and really who cares if we forget words?

[00:02:17] Sometimes we're so embarrassed. Oh, if I can't remember that word, but we'll people

[00:02:21] think of me. Who cares? What people think of us? The only person that we need to

[00:02:26] please is our Lord Jesus and we're completely pleasing to God through faith

[00:02:31] and what Christ has done. He loves us and accepts us and forgives us and calls us

[00:02:36] his own and says you belong to me. So here's the deal. Don't sweat it when

[00:02:42] you can't remember words like Pastor Dave. I think the Lord does that to

[00:02:49] keep me humble because usually people say I have the gift of God and I can talk

[00:02:53] pretty easily and normally I can but I couldn't remember the word you

[00:02:57] crane, Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine. And it's horrible what's happening there

[00:03:03] by the way. That's why I wanted to say it but I blew it. Okay? I'll say that in
