[00:00:00] Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. I have a question for you today. Where do you
[00:00:14] go when you're struggling? You might say, wow, we go out to eat or I go to some friends'
[00:00:19] house or we go up in the mountains or we go by the lake or I take a trip out of town
[00:00:24] or whatever it is. All of those are fine, but there's even a better place to go when
[00:00:30] you're really struggling emotionally, financially, physically, spiritually.
[00:00:33] However you're struggling, there's even a better place to go. We're in the book of
[00:00:38] Matthew chapter 21 and this is what it says in verse 14, and the blind and the
[00:00:45] lame came to him in the temple and he healed them. Now remember this was at
[00:00:50] the same time when Jesus had just cleared the temple throwing out the
[00:00:54] money changers and the businessman, reestablishing it as a place where
[00:00:58] people could meet God, where people could meet Jesus. And so the blind and the
[00:01:04] lame, listen to this, came into the temple and Jesus healed them. This was a
[00:01:09] sign and an indication that the Messiah had come.
[00:01:13] Frisei chapter 35 verse 5 said that the messianic reign would establish
[00:01:18] itself when the lame could walk and when the blind could see. How cool is
[00:01:24] that? So these men were struggling, the lame, the blind were struggling and they
[00:01:30] said we know where to go. We'll go to the temple, we'll meet the Son of God,
[00:01:34] we'll meet the promised Messiah and because of what we've heard about
[00:01:38] what he's done in the past, he can surely restore our sight, he can surely
[00:01:43] cause us to walk and that's exactly what happened. I love it. So they
[00:01:50] went to the temple to meet Jesus. When you're struggling, go to church to meet
[00:01:57] Jesus. Go to church to hear his word. Go to church to fellowship with other
[00:02:02] Christians. Go to church to receive his sacrament. Go to church for restoration,
[00:02:08] hope, healing, help and pardon. When you're struggling, the best place to go
[00:02:15] is to meet Jesus in the temple. Go to church and meet him there. Have a great
[00:02:22] day in the Lord Jesus Christ and that is today's Daily Truth.
