[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Real Truth Daily This Is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Everybody welcome back to Daily Truths. We're in Matthew chapter 24 verses 33 and 34.

[00:00:13] [SPEAKER_01]: So also when you see all these things, you know that he is near. Namely Jesus' second

[00:00:20] [SPEAKER_01]: return is imminent just around the corner. What kind of things? We've talked about

[00:00:25] [SPEAKER_01]: a false Christ, false prophets, earthquakes, pestilences, kingdom rising up against kingdom,

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: nation against nation, people falling away from the faith, great lawlessness, all these things

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: and so much more that Jesus mentions, all these things are taking place now. And that's

[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_01]: important for us to remember. You see we look at Revelation and Daniel in the light

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: of the straightforward words of Jesus in Matthew chapter 24. This is the doctrinal

[00:00:53] [SPEAKER_01]: seat of end time theology and all these things that Jesus has talked about in Matthew chapter

[00:00:59] [SPEAKER_01]: 24 are happening. So what's Jesus saying? His return could be just around the corner

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_01]: as we've talked about so many times. So also when you see all these things, you know

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_01]: that Christ is near at the very gate. It's like he's entering the yard. He's

[00:01:15] [SPEAKER_01]: entering the house. He's ready to come into our home, this earthly home and

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: reestablish it and make a new home, a new heaven and new earth. He's at the very gate

[00:01:26] [SPEAKER_01]: based on what we're seeing in the world today. And then he says this, truly I say to you,

[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01]: this generation will not pass away until all these things take place. Now what's he mean

[00:01:39] [SPEAKER_01]: by this generation? There's four, believe it or not, four different interpretations

[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: that people have come up with. Some people think he's talking about that the generation

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: who is listening to him at that time will not pass away. Many of them will still be living

[00:01:53] [SPEAKER_01]: when the desecration of the temple, destruction of the temple and destruction of Jerusalem

[00:01:57] [SPEAKER_01]: happens. Undoubtedly that is true. Some people believe he's talking about the Jewish nation

[00:02:02] [SPEAKER_01]: that the Jewish nation will not perish until all those things take place. That there

[00:02:07] [SPEAKER_01]: will be a Jewish nation, a residual Jewish nation that believes in Jesus. Some people

[00:02:12] [SPEAKER_01]: believe he's talking about the church. He established the church by the confession

[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: that he is the Christ and the church will never perish. The church will never fade away. It

[00:02:21] [SPEAKER_01]: will exist until Christ comes back. Some folks believe that Jesus meant that there's

[00:02:27] [SPEAKER_01]: going to be people who reject his messianic role in every generation. This generation will

[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: not pass away until Christ comes back. So some people believe it means a generation

[00:02:37] [SPEAKER_01]: that rejects Christ, people in every generation who don't believe that he is a Messiah.

[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Which one is it? Yes, I think it's all four. But I don't know. We'll find out when Christ

[00:02:52] [SPEAKER_01]: comes back. But listen to this, folks. What generation are you a part of? Are you part

[00:02:58] [SPEAKER_01]: of a believing Bible based Christ center generation that believes that Christ is a

[00:03:05] [SPEAKER_01]: Messiah? Here's the generation that follows Jesus and I hope you're a part of

[00:03:10] [SPEAKER_01]: it. Number one, we acknowledge that we're sinful and we can't save ourselves. Number

[00:03:15] [SPEAKER_01]: two, we believe that Jesus Christ came to this world to do three things we can't do

[00:03:21] [SPEAKER_01]: to live the life we can't live by obeying the commandments that we have

[00:03:24] [SPEAKER_01]: broken to sacrifice his body on a holy cross that he was the Holy Perfect

[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_01]: sacrifice for our sin and that payment was made to God and he experienced the

[00:03:35] [SPEAKER_01]: wrath of God in our place. And then three days later, he defeated death by

[00:03:40] [SPEAKER_01]: coming back to life and walking out of the grave. And now through repentance and

[00:03:44] [SPEAKER_01]: faith, what do we have? We've talked about this many times for giving us the sins,

[00:03:50] [SPEAKER_01]: reconciliation with God and heaven is our eternal home. If that is what you

[00:03:55] [SPEAKER_01]: believe, you're part of the generation that believes in Christ and you're

[00:03:59] [SPEAKER_01]: ready for his return. You submitted his Lordship. You said, Lord Jesus, take

[00:04:04] [SPEAKER_01]: my life, take my whole soul, take my whole being guide and lead it. I give

[00:04:09] [SPEAKER_01]: you my life, my whole being to be led and guided by you as only you can lead

[00:04:14] [SPEAKER_01]: and guide it. And then not only do we submit to the Lordship of Christ, we

[00:04:19] [SPEAKER_01]: say you're my captain, you're my leader. I submit to you and your leadership in

[00:04:23] [SPEAKER_01]: my life. But we also say Lord Jesus, what can I do to serve you, to obey

[00:04:28] [SPEAKER_01]: you and to make you known? Which generation are you a part of? The

[00:04:33] [SPEAKER_01]: generation that rejects the claims of Christ or the generation that

[00:04:37] [SPEAKER_01]: accepts by the Holy Spirit's power, the claims of Christ. I pray that by the

[00:04:42] [SPEAKER_01]: Holy Spirit you are the one who accepts Christ as Savior, who believes that he

[00:04:49] [SPEAKER_01]: lived and died and rose again for you. That you know beyond the shadow of a

[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: doubt where you're going to go when you take your last breath, that you

[00:04:57] [SPEAKER_01]: will be taken to heaven to live with God forever and ever in eternity.

[00:05:03] [SPEAKER_01]: Friends, the tribulation is happening. All the things that Jesus talked

[00:05:07] [SPEAKER_01]: about in Matthew chapter 24 are happening. I believe we could very well be in the

[00:05:13] [SPEAKER_01]: last days because all those things are being fulfilled. May you be a part of

[00:05:17] [SPEAKER_01]: the generation that says, I'm ready Lord Jesus. When you return, I've

[00:05:22] [SPEAKER_01]: repaired up my sin. I trust in you as Savior. I submitted to you as a Lord of

[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: my life by the power of the Holy Spirit and now I'm living for you, serving

[00:05:30] [SPEAKER_01]: you, honoring you, obeying you and making you known to as many people

[00:05:35] [SPEAKER_01]: as possible. May you be part of that generation and that is today's Daily

[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_01]: Truth. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ.
