Weight Scales at the Doctor's

[00:00:00] Real Truths Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman I mean, I would go a lot further if I could. I want to weigh as little as possible. Today I went to the doctor and I'm going to have 5 surgery here soon.

[00:00:40] Today I went to the doctor and they took me to the office. I went by the weight scale and by the way when you go in, you have yourself weight. The nurse never looks at the weight scale or does that thing on the balance thing? It goes, mmmm.

[00:00:52] Oh boy, that's really bad. Shame on you. They don't do that. That's a wide of a way. Anyway, I'm going to the doctor today. And you know what she said how much do you weigh? Whoa, what a question.

[00:01:05] She asked me and she trusted me to tell the truth. And I told her kind of, I was only off like 3 or 4 pounds. I think everybody does that, right? So here's my point.

[00:01:18] Why do you go into the doctor and they weigh you when you know good and well if you're out of weight or overweight and you probably know what your weight is anyway because you probably have a skill at home. And you weigh yourself pretty consistently.

[00:01:31] So why do they weigh you? I don't know. Is it to shame us? Is it to make us feel bad? Hmm. Weight scales. You know what? What if we had to give a weigh in on judgment day of all our sin?

[00:01:51] And step on the scale, let's see how obedient you've been. Mmm, not good. Like, boy, we don't have to do that because the weight of our sin has been removed by the blood of Christ. How cool is that? We just celebrated Easter.

[00:02:10] We just celebrated good Friday if you will. Why do we celebrate it? Because death has been defeated. Sin has been carried. Satan has been vanquished and hell has been overcome. And we have forgiven us since no weight scale of our sin on judgment day of

[00:02:25] free pass given to us by the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. How cool is that? So God's not going to have a step on a scale that weighs all our wrongs, all our sins, all the times we messed up.

[00:02:40] And he's not going to stroke his beard and boy. You need to do something about that. He already did do something about that at Calvary and at the empty tomb. Thanks for the new life we have. The forgiveness of sins we have.
