[00:00:00] Real Truth Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:00:07] Hi, everybody. Welcome back to Daily Truths. What is the fourth cup? Remember we've talked about at the Passover meal that four different cups of wine were drank at the Passover meal. And after Jesus drank the third cup, which is based on the book of Exodus, meaning I will redeem you. He said, I will not drink another cup until we meet in the kingdom of heaven.

[00:00:28] That's basically what he says here in verse 29. Listen to this. I tell you, I will not drink again of this fruit of the vine, mainly wine, obviously, until that day when I drink it with you in my father's kingdom.

[00:00:43] What's he talking about? This fourth cup, which commemorates the book of Exodus, it says, I will take you to be my people and I will be your God.

[00:00:52] He's not going to drink that based on the book of Exodus, the fourth part of the drinking of the wine.

[00:00:59] He's not going to say that and we will not drink it until we're elevated into the status of being in the kingdom of heaven with our Lord Jesus.

[00:01:07] We will be his people and he will be our God. Then a celebration will erupt like no other.

[00:01:16] We will celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus who defeated sin and hell and death.

[00:01:22] And we will be there. We will celebrate the fact that there will be no more sickness, no more suffering, no more cancer, no more death.

[00:01:33] And we will be there. Our loved ones will be gathered around us.

[00:01:39] They'll be granted a seat around the table with our Lord Jesus and we will be with them forever.

[00:01:45] And we will be there.

[00:01:49] And then at this glorious banquet with more people that we can possibly ever imagine,

[00:01:55] Jesus will hold up the fourth cup.

[00:01:58] He will hold it up and we will celebrate and then he will drink it.

[00:02:04] We will be in a new heaven and a new earth celebrating with our Lord Jesus,

[00:02:09] a celebration that will go on in to eternity.

[00:02:15] And guess what?

[00:02:17] We will be there.

[00:02:21] Yeah.

[00:02:51] We will be there.

[00:02:52] And because we're not home yet, we have to persevere through the struggles and trials of life.

[00:03:00] But do you know what Romans chapter 5 says?

[00:03:02] Therefore, we rejoice in our suffering, knowing that suffering produces perseverance.

[00:03:06] Perseverance, proven character.

[00:03:08] Proven character leads to hope.

[00:03:10] and that hope will not disappoint us

[00:03:12] because the love of God has been poured into our hearts

[00:03:15] by the Holy Spirit whom God has given us.

[00:03:17] We persevere through those struggles.

[00:03:19] We realize we're not home yet.

[00:03:21] We know that the fourth cup is yet to be drank

[00:03:24] by our Savior, Redeemer, Lord, and King Jesus.

[00:03:27] And when he drinks it, a celebration will go on

[00:03:30] with our loved ones, free from sin,

[00:03:34] celebrating the conquering of sin and hell and death

[00:03:36] by our Lord Jesus, that drinking of that cup

[00:03:39] and the celebration, gather around it,

[00:03:42] will go on forever.

[00:03:45] And guess what?

[00:03:47] We will be there.

[00:03:53] So persevere, my friend.

[00:03:56] Hang on to your faith.

[00:03:58] Fix your eyes on Jesus,

[00:04:00] the author and perfecter of our faith

[00:04:02] who for the joy set before him endured the cross

[00:04:05] was willing to scorn his shame

[00:04:07] and is seated at the right hand of God.

[00:04:10] And when he comes back,

[00:04:12] he will hold up the cup,

[00:04:14] he will drink it,

[00:04:15] and we will go,

[00:04:16] Yes!

[00:04:18] We win!

[00:04:22] And we will be there.

[00:04:25] Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ.

[00:04:28] And that is today's Daily Truth.
