[00:00:00] [SPEAKER_00]: Real Truth Daily. This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.
[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. When I was growing up, my dad often was emphatic about what he was trying to tell me.
[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: And sometimes I wouldn't believe it. And then when things happened just the way he told me, it was going to happen, he'd say,
[00:00:21] [SPEAKER_01]: See, I Told You. Have you ever said that to other people when you're so emphatic that what you're saying is absolutely correct?
[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: And then when it comes true, when people that you say that to find out that, oh, you were telling the truth.
[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you ever want to say, See, I Told You? Did Jesus ever say that?
[00:00:43] [SPEAKER_01]: We're in Matthew chapter 23 verses 23 and 24. Listen to this.
[00:00:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And also verse 25, Then if anyone says to you, look, here's the Christ or there he is, do not believe it for false Christ and false prophets will arise and perform great signs and wonders so as to lead astray if possible, even the elect.
[00:01:05] [SPEAKER_01]: We talked about this a couple days ago. Now, here's the key word I want you to think about.
[00:01:10] [SPEAKER_01]: See, I have told you beforehand.
[00:01:14] [SPEAKER_01]: In other words, Jesus was saying there's going to be a destruction of the temple in Jerusalem.
[00:01:19] [SPEAKER_01]: The city of Jerusalem is going to be destroyed. There's going to be false Christ and false false prophets that come along and it's all going to happen.
[00:01:27] [SPEAKER_01]: And when it happens, I could say, See, I told you.
[00:01:32] [SPEAKER_01]: And really what Jesus was saying here is I'm telling you this beforehand.
[00:01:37] [SPEAKER_01]: It's all going to happen. And the reason they could believe it is because Christ is always 100% accurate.
[00:01:44] [SPEAKER_01]: He never manufactures stuff. He never makes predictions that don't come true.
[00:01:51] [SPEAKER_01]: See, I told you Jesus predicted that he was going to be crucified, that he was going to be handed over the hands of sinful men be crucified and raised up on the third day.
[00:02:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And when that happened, he could have said to his disciples, See, I told you.
[00:02:09] [SPEAKER_01]: He told his disciples to stay in Jerusalem until their clothes with power from on eye that the Holy Spirit would descend.
[00:02:16] [SPEAKER_01]: And when the Holy Spirit descended, they would be empowered to proclaim the gospel and it happened on Pentecost Day.
[00:02:22] [SPEAKER_01]: And he easily could have said, See, I told you.
[00:02:28] [SPEAKER_01]: When he has sent it up into heaven, according to Matthew chapter 28 and Acts chapter one,
[00:02:32] [SPEAKER_01]: he basically told his disciples that no matter what they faced, no matter what they went through,
[00:02:38] [SPEAKER_01]: he would be with them always even to the very end of the age.
[00:02:42] [SPEAKER_01]: And my friend, he says the very same thing to you to forgive your sins, to empower you when you're weak,
[00:02:49] [SPEAKER_01]: to carry you when you can't go on any longer.
[00:02:51] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus is there to do what he promised he would do and he could easily say about that.
[00:02:57] [SPEAKER_01]: See, I told you.
[00:03:01] [SPEAKER_01]: When we confess our sins and acknowledge our wrongs and God forgives us for the sake of Christ, Jesus could easily say, See, I told you.
[00:03:12] [SPEAKER_01]: When we take our last breath on this side of heaven and we're ushered in the glories of heaven with our Lord Jesus,
[00:03:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Jesus could easily say, See, I told you.
[00:03:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And when Christ comes back and he will come back and all the things I'm just reading just recently,
[00:03:30] [SPEAKER_01]: there's been two earthquakes in California in the last two days.
[00:03:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Wars and rumors of wars, kingdom rising up against kingdom and nation against nation
[00:03:39] [SPEAKER_01]: and false Christ and false prophets and pestilences and all the things that Jesus talks about in Matthew chapter 24,
[00:03:45] [SPEAKER_01]: all culminating that his return could be very, very imminent.
[00:03:49] [SPEAKER_01]: And when it happens, when he comes back, when he takes his home to be with him forever, do you know what he could say?
[00:03:56] [SPEAKER_01]: You know. See, I told you.
[00:04:02] [SPEAKER_01]: And until then, you've heard me say it before many times,
[00:04:06] [SPEAKER_01]: honor him, serve him, obey him and especially make him known to people that don't know who Jesus is.
[00:04:17] [SPEAKER_01]: Look, you've heard me say I'm a very conservative pastor and I believe in the authenticity and authority of the word of God.
[00:04:24] [SPEAKER_01]: And I believe there is only one way to heaven and that's through faith in Jesus Christ.
[00:04:29] [SPEAKER_01]: There's no other way to have our sins forgiven and to be in a right relationship with God
[00:04:34] [SPEAKER_01]: and to be assured that when we leave planet earth, we're going to be with Jesus.
[00:04:38] [SPEAKER_01]: So here's the thing. We need to tell other people.
[00:04:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And when we tell other people about what Jesus has done about his life, death and resurrection
[00:04:46] [SPEAKER_01]: and that through faith, repentance and faith in him were saved when they accept Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit
[00:04:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and acknowledge who he is. They can say thank you for telling me and we can say see.
[00:05:00] [SPEAKER_01]: I told you the gospel is so good.
[00:05:06] [SPEAKER_01]: I just praise God that I have the opportunity to tell you every day about who Jesus is and why he came.
[00:05:12] [SPEAKER_01]: And I tell you what, as crazy as this world is and it's becoming more and more unbelievably lawless,
[00:05:21] [SPEAKER_01]: unbelievably sinful and evil, filled with pain and suffering and heartache
[00:05:26] [SPEAKER_01]: and all the things that we go through in everyday life.
[00:05:28] [SPEAKER_01]: And then we look at what's happening in our culture and we say, phew, why is this happening?
[00:05:34] [SPEAKER_01]: And do you know what Jesus says? See?
[00:05:39] [SPEAKER_01]: I told you.
[00:05:41] [SPEAKER_01]: And he tells us to hang on to our faith, to persevere through struggle, to endure hardship
[00:05:49] [SPEAKER_01]: because we know that when we leave this place, we'll be in heaven with our Lord Jesus
[00:05:53] [SPEAKER_01]: and he will say see.
[00:05:58] [SPEAKER_01]: I told you.
[00:06:02] [SPEAKER_01]: Have a great day, Lord Jesus Christ.
[00:06:04] [SPEAKER_01]: And that is today's Daily Truth.
