[00:00:00] Real Truth Daily This Is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman I don't know who it is in your life that you need to pray this prayer for. It may be a son, a daughter, a friend, a brother, a sister, a parent, whoever it is. This is a powerful prayer

[00:00:23] guy and you can't deny it. Lord, I'm mercy. I'm mercy on my loved one. And then you wait. Now Satan will attack during those times. He'll say, where's your God? How come he didn't fix it?

[00:00:43] How come things are better? You prayed and prayed and prayed and it must have fallen on deaf ears because nothing has changed. Do you know what you do in that situation? You tell Satan

[00:00:54] to take a hike. The Bible says in the book of James, resist the devil and he'll flee. Tell him to take a short walk off a long pier or a long walk off a short pier. That's better.

[00:01:06] And tell him to get out of your life. Tell him he has no power, sway, control over this because you see he messes with this and when that happens when he's working with our

[00:01:17] mind it changes our heart and that changes our faith and it causes us to doubt. The very same thing happened in this text. This man said, Lord, if you can. Now think about that.

[00:01:30] Think about what Jesus had done. Clans lepers. Cast out demons. Cause the deaf to hear the blind to see even the lame to walk and he had raised the dead and yet this man says,

[00:01:43] if you can make my son well sometimes we're the same way. If you can, Lord, I've mercy on my love one. Have mercy on my son or my daughter, my friend or whoever it is have mercy

[00:02:01] on them and then we release it to God and we wait for his answers. We wait for him to do whatever it is that he's going to do with our love one and meanwhile we keep feeding our

[00:02:12] faith. We keep trusting in the Lord. We keep coming to church. We keep reading the Scriptures knowing indeed that that's our solace. That's our peace. That's our strength as we wait

[00:02:23] for the Lord to do his thing. And he will. We go to the end of this story. It's powerful. Did you catch it? I mean this man said, I even asked your disciples. They couldn't do anything. They weren't effective, non supportive, unsuccessful. Lord, if you can do anything

[00:02:50] when you please do it and Jesus said, I love it. Did you hear that in the text? How long do I put up? How long do I have to put up with these guys? Sometimes Jesus seemingly

[00:03:01] ran out of patience with his disciples because they're fate with so we, so Jesus says, bring your son to me and he does. And Jesus heals him immediately. And may He do the very

[00:03:18] same thing, not on our tame table, not on our time table but on His may do the same thing with those you pray for today.
