"Move Along, Nothing to See Here" | Matthew 26:30-32

[00:00:07] Hey everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. I'm back in my studio. We were gone for a long time.

[00:00:13] Every once in a while you see and see depicted in movies these words where somebody says,

[00:00:19] who's trying to cover up the truth, somebody who says, move along, move along, nothing to see here.

[00:00:26] Well, listen to this. This is Matthew 26, verses 30-34. Listen to this.

[00:00:32] And when they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.

[00:00:35] Remember, this is the night before Jesus is crucified.

[00:00:37] Then Jesus said to them, you will all fall away because of me this night.

[00:00:41] For it is written, I will strike the shepherd and the sheep of the flock will be scattered.

[00:00:46] We talked about that a couple days ago. But after I am raised up, I will go before you to Galilee.

[00:00:54] Peter answered him, though they all fall away because of you, I will never fall away.

[00:00:59] Wait a minute. What did Jesus say in this verse?

[00:01:03] After three days, I'm going to be raised up.

[00:01:06] And it's like they completely forgot about it. It's like they completely dismissed it.

[00:01:10] And Peter said, though everybody else falls away, I never will.

[00:01:13] Wow. It's like Satan was telling them, move along, move along.

[00:01:17] Nothing to see here.

[00:01:18] Now, Satan does the same thing with us.

[00:01:21] It's almost like we forget the tomb is empty.

[00:01:24] It's almost like Satan is saying, move along.

[00:01:27] Nothing to see here.

[00:01:29] But we know the tomb is empty.

[00:01:32] And we know that what Jesus said absolutely was fulfilled.

[00:01:36] He came back to life.

[00:01:38] He rose from the dead.

[00:01:39] And here's the thing.

[00:01:41] Satan doesn't want you to know, believe, teach and confess.

[00:01:45] Number one, that the resurrection of prove the resurrection of Jesus proves that he is the son of God.

[00:01:51] Number two, that his truth, his teaching is absolutely true.

[00:01:57] Number three, that God accepted the sacrifice of Christ in behalf of our sin and proved it through the resurrection of Jesus from the dead.

[00:02:06] And number four, because Christ has been raised, we too shall be raised.

[00:02:12] Satan oftentimes will distract us from those truths, depict something that's not true and look at the tomb of Jesus, the empty tomb of Jesus, and tell us, move along, move along.

[00:02:24] Nothing to see here.

[00:02:26] But we tell him to take a hike.

[00:02:28] We tell him to get out of our life.

[00:02:30] We tell him that we believe in Jesus Christ.

[00:02:33] And we tell him we not only believe in Jesus, but are living for Jesus, the crucified and resurrected son of God.

[00:02:41] So when Satan is telling you, hey, there is nothing to the resurrection.

[00:02:46] Move along.

[00:02:47] Nothing to see here.

[00:02:49] Point him to the empty tomb of Jesus and tell him he's a defeated foe and tell him, get out of my life.

[00:02:57] But distracting me with telling me lies and untruths.

[00:03:01] I am fixed on and live for Jesus Christ, my Lord, my Savior, my Redeemer, my King, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

[00:03:12] Tell him when he says, move along.

[00:03:16] I'm going to stay right here, riveted on the truths of my Savior.

[00:03:20] And that is today's Daily Truth.
