How Much Longer Will America be Around? | Matthew 22:7

[00:00:07] Hi everybody welcome back to Daily Truths. Recently Harrison Butker the kicker for the Kansas

[00:00:12] City Chiefs gave a commencement address at a Catholic University exposing Christian values

[00:00:19] and morals, exposing the Judea Christian ethic and he was ridiculed, rejected, rebued

[00:00:26] and ostracized by the secular media because of it. What a surprise.

[00:00:31] You see, it used to be that the Christian ethic, Judea Christian ethic used to be the

[00:00:36] standard in norm for how life ought to be lived here in the United States but that is

[00:00:41] not the case anymore. Same sex marriage, gender re-identification, the atrocities

[00:00:46] of abortion and blatant racism on college campuses seems to be the norm in America today.

[00:00:54] So-called Christian denominations are elevating the gay pride movement while at this

[00:01:01] same time telling their people that Jesus is not the only way to have it. We are definitely

[00:01:07] in a post-Christian culture. So what do we do about it? Well, Jesus talked about what

[00:01:14] would happen in Jerusalem in Matthew chapter 22. Remember, this is the parable of the marriage

[00:01:19] feast and remember this king was going to throw a party for his son who is going to get

[00:01:23] married, he invited some folks. They didn't come and so that really upset him and then

[00:01:28] he sent his servants and they killed the servants and basically Jesus is talking about

[00:01:33] the Jewish nation and how they down through the course of history rejected the reign

[00:01:38] of God and now rejected Jesus as Messiah. And this is what it says in verse 7, the king

[00:01:44] was angry and he said his troops and destroyed those murders and burned their city.

[00:01:51] What was happening when Jesus said this? Well, basically Jesus was talking about what

[00:01:55] would happen 37 years later in Jerusalem when Jerusalem would be sack and the temple

[00:02:01] would be destroyed and indeed many Jewish people would be killed. Why was this? What was Jesus

[00:02:07] predicting? Obviously he was predicting that this was going to happen but why listen

[00:02:11] to this because of their blatant rebellion and unbelief. Now you might be saying, well,

[00:02:17] that was for them. That's not necessarily the way Jesus feels about America really. Did

[00:02:25] you know that every culture that did not build its ethics on the Christian Judeo-Christian

[00:02:31] ethic lost its blessing and eventually they came to an end. The same thing could happen

[00:02:37] here in the United States. The same thing could happen here in America unless something happens.

[00:02:44] People repent and turn back to the things of God unless the Judeo-Christian ethic whole

[00:02:51] sway here in America eventually we will lose our blessing. The Persians lost their blessing,

[00:02:58] the Babylonians lost their blessing, the Greeks lost their blessing, the Roman Empire lost

[00:03:03] its blessing, the German Empire lost its blessing and less America stands on the principles

[00:03:10] of God's word once again. We will lose our blessing and our nation will be dissolved.

[00:03:16] I really, really believe that. So what can we do about it? Well, number one, we can speak

[00:03:23] up for the truth of God's word when the Holy Spirit opens the door. We live in a culture

[00:03:28] today where so many Christians are afraid to speak on these issues. Why? Because we're afraid

[00:03:34] of being ostracized, ridicule, rejected, rebuked and all these different kinds of things made

[00:03:39] fun of maybe losing friendships, maybe losing family, family members and all that kind of stuff.

[00:03:44] Here's the thing my friends and less we speak when the Holy Spirit opens the door. Who is going

[00:03:50] to do it? The secular media are you kidding me? No way! And so somehow in some way, the

[00:03:57] propositions of God's word, the Christian ethic, expoused in the Word of God, needs to

[00:04:03] be proclaimed. And I had a video, a podcast that I did here all about a month ago telling

[00:04:10] pastors to stand on the truth of the Word of God. I'm going to be giving a message at Mount

[00:04:15] Hope Church very soon about these very things and how necessary it is that we as Christians

[00:04:22] stand on the propositions of God's word in a face, in the face of culture that is so anti-Christian

[00:04:28] I can hardly believe it. And I'm sure you're the same way. How in the world did we get to

[00:04:34] the place we're at? Well, it's because this basically has been thrown away and people say we don't

[00:04:40] need this in our lives. So number one, when the Holy Spirit opens the door for us to speak about

[00:04:46] these issues, we should speak. And number two, and I've said this many times pray for a revival

[00:04:51] here in the United States. I don't know what it's going to take. I don't know how that's

[00:04:55] going to happen. I don't know if some major catastrophe has to happen here in the United States

[00:05:00] before people in mass turned back to the things of God. But unless there's a revival here in the

[00:05:06] United States, we will lose our nation. I really believe that. Why did Jesus basically say,

[00:05:13] Drew Slump 37 years from now, you're going to lose your city. You're going to lose a temple.

[00:05:20] Why was that? Because of their rebellion and unbelief. And the same thing is happening here in

[00:05:25] America today. Number one, speak out when you can. Number two, pray for a revival.

[00:05:33] Okay. I got through this. By the way, I think Satan was really working in this room today because

[00:05:40] this is the fifth try. I've attempted to try to get through this podcast. I finally made it.
