False Christs Have Appeared...And That Will Continue | Matthew 24:5

[00:00:00] We'll Truth Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths In 1981 I was on Vickridge in Fairbury, Nebraska, Wonderful Church there and I was at my desk and all of a sudden a fellow dressed in

[00:00:17] Galilean Garb kind of from Jesus' day stood in my doorway, lifted up his arms and said, And I said, Peace be with you. And I said, Peace be with you. Who are you?

[00:00:28] And he said, I am one of Christ's disciples and I said, Well, come on in, so am I. And then he sat down at my couch there and we had a little conversation.

[00:00:38] He said that Jesus had appeared in San Francisco that he had seen him and he was traveling The Jesus was traveling around America spreading the good news. Obviously, he was a false Christ. Now Jesus talked about that that false Christ would come through every generation in every

[00:00:57] century and this is what it says in Matthew 24 verse 5, For many will come in my name saying, I am the Christ and they will lead many astray. Boy, that was so true in the early church in Acts chapter 5, a religious leader of

[00:01:14] Pharisee by the name of Gamalio, who also was instructor of Saint Paul said this. He said there was a guy by the name of Thadias who proclaimed himself to be the Christ. Some followed him and it came to nothing. He was a false Christ.

[00:01:28] And then he said, There was that Judas, the Galilean and the same thing happened. It came to nothing. People followed him and eventually it died out. And then he said, If this movement of Christianity, this following Jesus of Nazareth is of God, you can't stop it.

[00:01:44] If it's a men, it will fall apart. Boy, how true was that? Now we've had curate day in the last 50 years, curate day false massage. I think of David Crashing, Waco. I call him the Waco of Waco.

[00:02:00] Righty said he was a Messiah and led many people to their deaths as you probably remember. And then of course, I think in 1979 or so, Jim Jones, right in Guyana, he said he was a Christ.

[00:02:11] He was a prophet of God and of course people, that's where the statement. People drank the Kulei, they drank the cyanide Kulei and they all died. Some 900 folks thought that he was the Messiah and he was a false teacher.

[00:02:26] So Jesus was saying, This is going to happen in every generation. Now here's the thing I want you to remember when Jesus Christ comes back. Everybody will know it. The book of Revelation chapter 1 verse 7 says, When he appears in the clouds, Every eye will see him.

[00:02:47] Did you get that? First, that's the one in chapter 4 says this. Lord Himself will descend with shouts with a shout-backedclamation. Man, what? Okay, let me, I'm going to have to look that up real quick Adam. A person, where himself is sitting? The shop with the voice, okay.

[00:03:04] I got it. All right, let's try it again. First, let's let's alone in chapter 4 says this. Lord Himself will descend with the shout-backedclamation with the voice of the archangel and the trumpet call of God. And the dead and Christ shall rise first.

[00:03:17] Then we who are remaining shall be caught up in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And we shall all be with the Lord therefore encourage one another with these words. These are great words indicating that when Christ comes back, everyone will acknowledge it.

[00:03:33] Remember we talked about yesterday of the day before that every initial bow and heaven on earth and under the earth. And every tongue confesses, Jesus Christ is Lord to the glory of God the Father. So when he comes back, everyone will know it.

[00:03:48] There's not going to be a secret escape of God's people. It's not like, you know, Jesus is going to appear in New York and then Phoenix and then LA. No, He's going to appear in the sky.

[00:03:59] We'll all be raised while meeting him in the air. He'll separate, separate the sheep from the ghost. Believers from non-believers. We've talked about that many times before but the bottom line of this devotion is everybody will know when Jesus comes.

[00:04:14] He'll come instantaneously. He'll come like a thief in the night. But when he comes, every eye will see him. And remember we talked about about a week ago.

[00:04:25] Why will we say, we will say independently but also corporately blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord? Tomorrow. We're going to be talking about, well, how do you know when Christ's second coming is near?

[00:04:41] What are some of the things that Jesus talks about to prepare us to indicate to us that His coming may be very, very close? Well, we're going to talk about that tomorrow. So stay tuned. Okay? For today, remember this false Christ will come.

[00:04:57] It's just a sign that Jesus returned may be just around the corner and when they come recognize them as false Christ because when he comes everybody, we'll see him. All right. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ. And that is today's daily truth.
