Being Satisfied With Who God Made You to Be

[00:01:00] My new details of life and I gotta tell you I'm not gonna share anything personal but that has gotten me in trouble again recently and Boy it's frustrating. So you're probably thinking well where are you going with all this? Pastor Dave

[00:01:17] Well I'm going this direction. God has made us to be who we are And we can always compare ourselves to other people and say I wish I had that gift right wish I had that gift right wish

[00:01:29] I wish I was more like that person but the bottom line is God made us who we are and we have to accept ourselves for who we are

[00:01:35] With the gifts and talents and personality traits and quirks and mannerisms and all this stuff that goes along with being human We have to accept ourselves for who we are and who God made us to be

[00:01:47] I think the bottom line of what God has taught me and this is what I try to do at peace with and church I try to put people in positions there that were detail oriented that were really good

[00:01:59] It's certain things that I wasn't good at this is what the body of Christ is all about And so the bottom line of this devotion today is you're needed in the body of Christ because you have gifts and talents

[00:02:10] That the guy who sits across from you and the pew probably doesn't have right and and when we don't use those gifts and talents in the church to serve

[00:02:18] There is like it's like an engine I'm here in my car. It's like an engine that doesn't have a carburetor I don't think they make those anymore. It's like an engine that doesn't have a distributor It's like an engine that doesn't have tires

[00:02:32] It's like a roof that is a hole in it, you know, if all of the parts are functioning the way they need to The body of Christ the church doesn't do as well as it otherwise could

[00:02:43] So you know, you probably have frustrations in your life too about things that you wish you could do better But you simply can't because you are who you are except yourself for who God made you to be

[00:02:54] And when there's certain things that you can't do don't be afraid to ask the body of Christ to help The scenario I'm dealing with in my own life I didn't ask people around me to help me and it got me in trouble

[00:03:07] So ask people who have gifts and talents that you don't have to help you out Because in the body of Christ those people will be very very willing Why because they love you and your part of that body of believers? So don't be afraid to ask for help
