[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman I was a junior in high school and really didn't pay much attention to the political structure of the Lutheran Church Missouri Senate. But there was a teaching back then called the historical critical method that had
[00:00:43] seat into our seminaries. Professors, listen to this, professors were teaching their students that the Bible in its entirety is not inspired by God. But there are certain things in the Bible that are myths or fables or parables but weren't historically accurate like what?
[00:01:03] Like the flood, like Adam and Eve being real people. Like the resurrection of Jesus actually happening. There was actually teachings regarding the truth of God's Word that were being compromised in our seminaries that Joan and the Whale is just a big story. It probably didn't happen.
[00:01:25] And this teaching was seeping into our seminaries and seeping into congregations. Well, there was a walkout in 1974 at a seminary in St. Louis where the teachings of God's Word were being compromised with these students protected their professors and went
[00:01:43] along with their professors who were teaching this bologna and they walked out of the seminary that was called the seminary in exile or seminax. Well, it was a big woop to do back then and there was a lot of controversy and there was a lot of debate.
[00:02:01] And what happened was the church was refined and reshaped and remolded to get back to the truth of Scripture back to the Lutheran Confessions, back to the foundation of God's Word. And I thank God that that happened.
[00:02:16] Now 50 years have passed and from that time forth till now, we've looked at the Word of God in its truth and purity and in its entirety as the Word of God. Second Timothy chapter 3 verse 16 says this, all Scriptures inspired by God, all Scripture.
[00:02:36] Not just some of it, all Scripture is inspired by God and it's profitable for doctrine for reproove, for correction and for training and righteousness that the man of God may be thoroughly equipped for every good work.
[00:02:49] I was brought up in a very conservative seminary and I've gone to very conservative congregations who have not compromised the Word of God. We don't compromise the truth of God's Word and if you watch daily truths on regular basis, you can be assured of this one thing.
[00:03:09] You're going to hear the truth of God's Word. Not my opinion, not my feelings, not my reasoning. I do the very best I can and looking at what this says and interpreting it using other
[00:03:22] Scriptures to bring you the truth of God's Word in a world where there is so little truth. Jesus said it best when He said, thy word is truth, sanctify them in the truth.
[00:03:36] You can be assured that when you click on your computer in the morning or your phone or whenever it is that you watch daily truths, you're going to hear the uncompromising truth of the Word of God. So listen to D.T. with confidence.
[00:03:51] I proclaim the Word of God with confidence, no watering down, no compromising, no giving in to the realms of our culture. You will hear the truth of God's Word day in and day out in daily truths.
