What is Possible With God? | Matthew 19:26

[00:00:00] Real Truth Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman This is what they said with man this is impossible but with God all things are possible. There have been many folks down through the years who I've known who are very well off, but the impossible happened.

[00:00:45] God penetrated their heart by the power of the Holy Spirit, opening up their eyes, helping them to see that the greatest treasure and on earth is a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ.

[00:00:57] He enabled them by the Spirit's power to put less emphasis on their treasures and much more emphasis on the greatest treasure of all. The Lord Jesus Christ Now on human terms that should not happen because when you have

[00:01:11] so many riches why in the world would you need a relationship with God but God made these people realize I need Jesus in my life and without Jesus I'm not headed to heaven. I'm going to the other place I need Christ and they dedicated their life to Christ

[00:01:28] and you could take away their riches and it wouldn't mean a thing because they have Jesus and that's all that matters. So that seems from our perspective how could that happen? Yeah, all the riches in the world and yet he said Jesus is more important to me than

[00:01:43] my earthly riches. Well what's impossible for man is not impossible with God. Now I want you to think about that with God all things are possible. Do you remember when the angel Gabriel appeared to Mary and said you're going to have

[00:01:59] a baby and she said how could this happen? Since I'm not married and I've not known a man and this is what the angel Gabriel said, the power of the Holy Spirit will come upon you and the power of the most high will over

[00:02:12] shadow you and that which is to be born of you is to be born of God and even your relative Elizabeth and her old age is going to have a child. Listen to this for nothing is impossible with God.

[00:02:28] Do you think David looked at Goliath and said, I can't do that? No, he realized nothing is impossible with God. Do you think Moses when he looked over the red sea and he saw the Egyptians coming to get him? Do you think he said, we're in trouble?

[00:02:44] No, he knew nothing is impossible with God. We know what? We can't save ourselves. We never could. We're imperfect people. We're sinful people. We've broken God's commands but what's impossible for us to save ourselves, God made

[00:03:00] possible by sending His Son Jesus to die and rise again for us so that the impossible is possible so that we can have a relationship with God through faith in Jesus Christ. There have been times in my life when I thought, eh, that's not possible.

[00:03:18] Should we give an example? I thought when I retired, I could never find anything better than what I was doing in full-time ministry. I love peace with and church. I loved all the churches I served.

[00:03:29] I thought, well, I'm going to retire and you know, I'll probably do some stuff in ministry but it won't be as good as this. That's impossible. Ah! Yeah. No, I'm serving a little church where I have to do his preaching teach and care for people

[00:03:44] and cast vision, all the stuff that I'm somewhat good at and all the stuff I'm not good at. I'm not doing. Somebody else is doing. Nothing is impossible with God. And did I ever think that I do a daily podcast walking people through the new test

[00:03:59] event for five minutes at a time? No. I thought, that's impossible. God has a great sense of humor, doesn't he? And He makes the impossible possible. I don't know what you're facing in life. I don't know what your situation is.

[00:04:17] I don't know what challenges are coming your way, but so many times we can't or interfere we're filled with doubt. We think the impossible can't be possible and we kind of run away from God. Whatever you're facing in life, whatever challenges are coming your way, commit this

[00:04:36] statement to memory. Nothing is impossible with God. Let me say it again, commit it to memory. Nothing is impossible with God. Just bank on that. Be comforted by that. Be assured of that and look over the track record of your life has God made some things

[00:04:59] in your life that were impossible possible. I bet he did. And what he's done in the past, he can surely do in the future. Nothing is impossible with God. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus Christ and that is today's Daily Truth.
