That's Not Right | Matthew 24:15 | August 16, 2024

[00:00:07] [SPEAKER_01]: I'm sitting here in the backyard just relaxing.

[00:00:11] [SPEAKER_01]: I have to relax because my hip is giving me, I don't think it's from my hip surgery,

[00:00:15] [SPEAKER_01]: I think it's something else.

[00:00:16] [SPEAKER_01]: I have a condition called Spinalo Lossesis and it's causing me to have shooting pains down my leg.

[00:00:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And I'll look at this.

[00:00:30] [SPEAKER_01]: Do you see that?

[00:00:31] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not right.

[00:00:33] [SPEAKER_01]: That's my job.

[00:00:35] [SPEAKER_01]: You know, things are not right.

[00:00:36] [SPEAKER_01]: I can't do what I want to do and my wife is mowing the lawn and that's not her job.

[00:00:40] [SPEAKER_01]: She's doing it for me, one of the world things aren't right.

[00:00:44] [SPEAKER_01]: Hmm, that sounds a lot like our world, right?

[00:00:46] [SPEAKER_01]: Things aren't right in the world.

[00:00:48] [SPEAKER_01]: And in the text that Jesus shared with us in Matthew 24,

[00:00:52] [SPEAKER_01]: he talked about the desecration of the temple and eventually a destruction of Jerusalem.

[00:00:57] [SPEAKER_01]: And how that wasn't right, that's not the way things should have been.

[00:01:01] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not the way things should be in our world either.

[00:01:04] [SPEAKER_01]: Things are wrong, there are all kinds of things happening that are chaotic.

[00:01:08] [SPEAKER_01]: Wars and rumors of war, kingdom rising up against kingdom, nation against nation.

[00:01:13] [SPEAKER_01]: The inner city problems and turmoil and all the things that we've talked about in the last few days, things are not right.

[00:01:20] [SPEAKER_01]: But we look forward to it day when Jesus will make all things right.

[00:01:23] [SPEAKER_01]: And that is coming soon.

[00:01:24] [SPEAKER_01]: So prepare yourself by trusting in Jesus, serving Him, honoring Him, obeying Him,

[00:01:30] [SPEAKER_01]: and making Him known to as many people as possible.

[00:01:34] [SPEAKER_01]: Things are not right down here, but some day Jesus is coming back and He will make all things right.

[00:01:45] [SPEAKER_01]: That's not right.

[00:01:48] [SPEAKER_01]: Hopefully next week, we'll get this pain taken away, however,

[00:01:52] [SPEAKER_01]: way they think is deemed feasible and worthy and something that will remove it.

[00:01:58] [SPEAKER_01]: But until then, things are right because my wife is mowing the lawn.
