How to Handle Interruptions | DT on the Run

[00:00:07] Hi everybody. Welcome back to Daily Truths. Look where I'm at. Yes, I'm at the airport. And guess what? Everything went perfectly.

[00:00:26] Our bus in the parking lot was on time. We got our tickets right away. We got them online. We got to the check-in for the security and there was no line.

[00:00:36] No line at the security. Can you believe that? Oh my goodness, what in the world? And then we got to our gate and everything is on time.

[00:00:44] The plane is on time. I don't think it's going to be crowded. We're going to be able to sit back, relax, stretch out.

[00:00:50] Hopefully everything will be on time in Phoenix when we get to see our kids. Man, this day has gone so smoothly.

[00:00:57] Our arrangements regarding our flight have gone so smoothly. Don't you wish every day was like that?

[00:01:04] Don't you wish that all the plans you make during the day would go smoothly? That there'd be no interruptions, no disappointments, no frustrations, no irritations.

[00:01:15] Everything would be on time. Everybody would cooperate. Everybody get along. That everything would fall into place perfectly.

[00:01:23] Sometimes it does. But many times it doesn't. And how do you deal with that?

[00:01:28] Do you get angry? Do you get frustrated? Do you get irritated? Do you lose your temper?

[00:01:33] Do you complain about it? Or do you just go with the flow and say, God's in charge. He's going to lead me through.

[00:01:39] God will keep at perfect peace the mind that has stayed on him.

[00:01:42] The marvelous thing is, in our good times and in our challenging times, in the times when everything falls into place,

[00:01:49] and the times when things don't, our God is the same.

[00:01:52] And he loves us, and he's with us, and he gets us through, and he carries us through, and he comforts us, and blesses us, and guides us, and will never abandon us.

[00:02:02] That's the marvelous thing about our God.

[00:02:04] And he even gives us patience in the midst of the irritations and mild frustrations of life.

[00:02:10] Now today has gone pretty well.

[00:02:12] And I would hope that if things didn't go well, I'd have the same attitude that I do right now.

[00:02:18] Okay, I'm going to go with the flow, and God is in charge.

[00:02:21] That's a great thing to remember.
