He Will Never Let You Go!

[00:00:06] Hi everybody, welcome back to Daily Truths. You're probably thinking, Pastor Dave, didn't

[00:00:12] you wear that yesterday? Yes, I slept in this one. Usually I do two or three of these in

[00:00:19] a day and I'm too lazy to go up the stairs and change my clothes.

[00:00:24] All right. So what you see in front of you right now is a picture of the 2023 championship

[00:00:31] Denver Nuggets. This picture was taken just a few minutes after they won the NBA championship.

[00:00:37] Now look in the upper left hand corner and you see Nikola Jokic there with his little daughter

[00:00:43] and he's holding her like he's not going to let her go. She seems to be enjoying the moment

[00:00:49] and he especially is, but he wants to celebrate with his daughter. How cool is that? That to me

[00:00:57] is a picture of what God does for us. He never lets us go. He never abandons us. He's holding us close.

[00:01:04] Sometimes when we're so weak, he props us up on his shoulders and he carries this through life.

[00:01:10] There have been many times in your life when he's done the exact same thing for you.

[00:01:15] He's carried you. He's comforted you. He's propped you up on his shoulders and he said,

[00:01:20] I'm not going to let go of you. I will carry you through. I want this picture to be a picture

[00:01:25] of what God does for you, not just in a championship moment, but every moment, every day,

[00:01:33] every minute of your life. And he's not going to put you down. A few minutes later after this

[00:01:40] picture was taken, Yolkic put his daughter back on the floor and she walked around and I saw that

[00:01:46] on the post game stuff. She was walking around just having a great time. God never puts you down.

[00:01:52] Just remember that. He carries you all the way through life and only believers in Christ

[00:01:59] can say that. This is why we want other people to know God. We want them to know Jesus

[00:02:05] so that they have a relationship with God. The same God that carries us can carry them.

[00:02:09] So be bold in your proclamation as we said a couple of days ago. Be bold in witnessing for

[00:02:14] the Lord Jesus Christ despite the opposition and we're living in a world where there is great

[00:02:19] opposition to the gospel, but don't let Satan win. When the Holy Spirit opens the door,

[00:02:25] tell them about a loving, gracious, forgiving God who will carry them all the way through life.

[00:02:32] I think that little girl was enjoying that time. I know I enjoy the fact that God is carrying me and

[00:02:37] he'll never put me down and he does the same thing for you. Have a great day in the Lord Jesus
