Children in Heaven? | Matthew 19:14

[00:00:00] We'll truth, Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman Hi everybody welcome back to Daily Truths. Can you imagine life without children? Now I know some folks don't like having kids around don't have kids and that's perfectly fine

[00:00:19] but I can't imagine my life and you probably can't imagine your life without kids I mean kids are blessing the Lord, they're a heritage from the Lord. They are gift of God

[00:00:30] We were down in Arizona for a month and there was hardly a day to the past where we didn't see at least some of our grandkids

[00:00:37] Right? And then when we came back from Arizona a couple of our grandkids game running to us and through their arms round us and said how much they missed us we love going to our grandkids volleyball games and basketball games

[00:00:49] and I love one of my grand sons he's like six or seven years old and he plays basketball And it's just such a joy to watch them you know, and when we haven't been around them for a while

[00:00:59] I'll tell my wife hey I need my grandkids fix. I can't imagine life without children Now what is this text say? We've been talking about this for a couple days that you know the disciples were

[00:01:14] Rebuking people for bringing their children to Jesus and in a course that Jesus loved children Love hanging out with them playing with them, ruffling their hair, blessing them, laying his hands on them and all of that

[00:01:25] And then this is what it says in verse 14, but Jesus said let the little children come to me and do not enter them for to such belongs the kingdom of heaven. Why did Jesus favor children so very much?

[00:01:42] Well there's a couple reasons number one he loved their humility and he loved their dependence humility and dependence And in a different part of scripture Jesus says that we as adults are to become like that

[00:01:55] humbly acknowledging our sin totally trusting in the merits of God through faith and what Christ is done so that we know that our sins are forgiven where it peace with God and heaven is our eternal home

[00:02:08] Jesus commands us to have the faith of a little child humble dependent trusting So Jesus says in this text three things let the little children come to me Secondly says don't get in the way of little children coming to me and then he says this

[00:02:28] For unto them belongs listen to this the kingdom of heaven Hmm is there gonna be children in heaven? Oh yes, and if you've lost a child That child through faith and Jesus isn't heaven right now and you're going to be able to see him or her again

[00:02:51] I can't imagine heaven without children I can't imagine life down here without children, but I really can't imagine heaven without children Will heaven have children in it? Oh yes. Oh yes Brun to children belongs the kingdom of heaven Thanks be to God and that is today's daily truth
