[00:00:00] Real Truth Daily This is Daily Truths with Dave Ahlman.

[00:00:08] Hi, everybody. We're in Matthew chapter 20 and remember yesterday we talked about these

[00:00:13] two men that were along the side of the road in Jericho and Jesus was walking by. They

[00:00:18] knew that Jesus was the Son of God and so they were pestering if you will, pestering

[00:00:22] Jesus to make them well, right? They were saying Lord, Son of David have mercy on us

[00:00:27] and people around them both disciples and non-disciples alike were telling them to shut

[00:00:33] up, right? They were trying to ostracize them, ignore them and censor them. Hmm, does

[00:00:39] that sound like our culture today? This is what it says in Matthew chapter 20, verse 21,

[00:00:45] the crowd who rebuked them, telling them to be silent. Are we as Christians being told

[00:00:50] to be silent today? In secular universities all across our country, when kids are standing

[00:00:56] up for the name of Jesus, they are ignored, ostracized, criticized and rebuked, right?

[00:01:03] Our president on Easter Sunday mandated that Easter Sunday was transgender identity day.

[00:01:09] Now I know March 31 is generally speaking that day, transgender identity day. However,

[00:01:17] if it would have been an Islamic holiday or a Hindu holiday, I could almost guarantee

[00:01:21] that he wouldn't have declared on that special day, it to be transgender identity day.

[00:01:27] Hmm, about two years ago, a little bit less than that when I started daily truths, we

[00:01:32] were taken down right away by someone who said we were spamming even though we weren't.

[00:01:38] Christians are the most ignored, ostracized and censored group in our country today. It's

[00:01:44] like Satan is using them saying be quiet about the faith, quit professing the name of Jesus,

[00:01:51] trying to stuff your religion down our throats. But are we doing that? No, I don't think so.

[00:01:58] We're just bold. We just want to confess the name of Jesus. We just want to profess what Christ

[00:02:03] has done and we're saying basically the same thing that these two blind men were saying,

[00:02:09] Jesus is the promised Messiah. He's the son of David and when he has mercy on us, not only

[00:02:15] healing us of our infirmities, if indeed that's his will, but also confessing the name of Jesus,

[00:02:21] knowing indeed that he died and rose again so that forgiveness and eternal life could be ours.

[00:02:27] When we profess the name of Jesus in a world where so many people are ignored, criticized,

[00:02:33] censored and ostracized as a result of their faith, what do we do? We keep professing the name

[00:02:40] of Jesus. That's what these men did. Even though people are saying, hey, be quiet. Leave me alone. He's

[00:02:45] got other things to do. You're not that important. You know what it says here? But they cried out all

[00:02:50] the more Lord having mercy on us son of David in the book of Acts chapter four. Peter was told

[00:02:57] the same thing quit talking about this Jesus, quit talking about this Jesus who apparently healed

[00:03:02] this guy who is a leper cripple there outside the temple in Jerusalem. Just quit talking about

[00:03:09] the name of Jesus and you know what Peter said? We can't help but talk about the name of Jesus

[00:03:15] because we're witnesses to what he's done. We've seen what he did, we've heard what he did,

[00:03:21] we can't stop talking about the name of Jesus. These two men in this text had the exact same

[00:03:28] attitude. Nobody's going to stop us, nobody's going to put us down no matter what we're facing,

[00:03:34] we're going to confess his name and we want our eyesight back. Hmm, they were bold. My friends,

[00:03:40] may we be bold despite the circumstances, despite the culture that we're in, may we be bold and

[00:03:47] professing and confessing and evangelizing and lifting up the name of Jesus, no matter what.

[00:03:54] You know why? Because someone's salvation may be its stake. God granted for the sake and in the name

[00:04:02] of Jesus Christ, the Son of David, the Lord, the Promised Messiah, amen and amen. Thank you
